Wolfgang Puck party of 8 - I HAVE to sit outside????

Hi all,

I am pretty Disney savvy with multiple trips every year, but have not dined at Wolfgang Puck Cafe. We thought we would try it out on our trip this summer (August - this is important) ....group of 10 of us.

I called Disney Dining....parties of 8 or or have to go through Group Dining....no problem.....they transfer me.

The Group dining person then says all parties of 8 or more HAVE to sit outside!!! I said that cant be right....and he says yes. I say that is crazy when the lady before said they had 2 tables for 5.... I ask for 2 tables....he says he cant do that since we are a party of more than 8....only outside......

Has anyone ever heard of this? Can anyone who frequents WPCafe help me understand why this would be????

I did not make the reservation....5pm outside in Orlando in early August for dinner sounds miserable....(we have 2 infants with us as well)

Any body have any insight I may be missing???

Could you book for 7 through regular dining...maybe not counting an infant. I don't normally look for ways to go around the rules...but when the rules are silly I say bring it on.....
