Does everything on the DDP count as a CS credit at WPE? Specifically I'm wondering about the large plates, as most are $15 & over. What about the bagel & cream cheese.. is that a snack credit?

Also, can anyone tell me how long it takes to get from MK to DTD? Planning a few lunches there (WPE, HOB) and trying to get a feel for how long it'll take me to get there from MK. Thanks! :goodvibes

Yes, everything counts as a CS credit and the bagel and cream cheese is still a snack credit as far as I know.

You can't go direct from MK to DTD. I think your best bet would be to walk to the Contemporary and take a bus from there to DTD. Allow yourself an hour in total to transfer. It could vary widely in terms of time depending on how long you wait for a bus.

Alternatively, you could hop onto the first resort bus you see and transfer at that resort to DTD. My experience with DTD is that the buses from all and any resorts run less frequently than the park buses so giving yourself a little extra time to play with won't be a bad thing.

It's been a while but I know one of the locations (DD) prevented use of the CS credits for a couple of items at one point including lasagna. This may have changed as I think we've only eaten at the one on the west side lately.

WPE in the marketplace is all CS. That is the restaurant by Goofy's candy co and Earl of Sandwich.

We had wonderful food there last trip. DH had the sausage pizza (which is not on the menu anymore) and I had the spaghetti with tomato basil sauce.....mmmm mmmm.

Everything on the menu was on the DDP.

Oh and the creme brulee...best anywhere on WDW property in my opinion.

Last Tuesday, DH ordered the $17 Salmon with a CS credit, but they did not allow us to get the creme brulee for dessert.

but they did not allow us to get the creme brulee for dessert.

That has been mentioned from time to time - not sure if it is official policy or just depends on the CM though. I can't help with creme brulee as I don't eat it so have never tried to order it. What were your dessert choices?

I had creme brulee twice a few weeks ago as my dessert on the DDP. And I agree, it is really good and the best I've had - very rich yellow color to the custard - must be made with a lot of eggs.

Last December we got creme brulee once and the second time couldn't because it was sold out - I wonder if that was the case or if it was refused as it is $5.

We did raglan rd to mk on disney transport. From a 4.30 adr we only just made 7pm spectro. Park to DTD is time consuming as no direct buses.

Whilst WPE is good it's only good if it fits with your plans eg leaving mk to spend rest of day at DTD.

We ate there last week. Had veggie pizza, roasted chicken with mashed potatoes and 2 creme brulees for dessert. All were covered on the dining plan. :)

Interesting as last week they told me no creme brulee but they had cheesecake. I took the comment as meaning I couldn't get the creme brulee on the dp. But my wife took it as they were out of creme brulee but had cheesecake as a replacement. Still not sure but the cheesecake was really good. They put the same topping on the cheesecake as they do on creme brulee.

from your ticker it looks like you're staying at Saratoga Springs, just take the resort bus for Saratoga Springs from Magic Kingdom, then walk over to DTD Marketplace from there.

We love WPE, and yes, those high ticket dishes are counter service credit. We've been several times, and it probably cost around $22 or $23 per adult before the DDP "zeroed" out the cost. Every time we've gone, at least one person in our group got the creme brulee as dessert so I'd bet they were just out of it when people have been turned down. Course I don't know if they allow it for a snack credit -- probably not due to cash cost being so high, but they definitely allowed it for dessert on the plan.

DH & I did not think it was very good, BTW. Had better creme brulee elsewhere at Disney. We thought it was pretty bland and tasteless, actually. The strawberry on top was about 1/2 ripe...yuck.

We got creme brulee, delicious. We also got the salmon, which we came back for because they had not fired the grill yet when we first got there. If they say no, it is usually because they or out, or the time to prepare precludes people waiting. A great place, everything on the menu is fabulous!

Good point. I have no idea why that didn't occur to me. :rotfl:I'm still having a hard time figuring out distances and transportation for everywhere (even though I know SSR is right be DTD). Disneyland is so less complicated. :goodvibes

Thanks for clearing up DDP at WPE, everyone. I'm really looking forward to giving it a try! I've heard so much good things about it. I'm thinking maybe we'll try it for both breakfast and lunch since we're pretty close to it at our resort. :)

Walking may or may not be an option - depending on where your room is. We requested as close to DTD as possible, but were on the other side of the resort. :sad2: That resort is HUGE. There is NO WAY I would have been willing to walk to DTD from our room. :sad1:

So a plate is your entree? Can you get any of the other stuff as snacks, or just the dessert? What about the sides??

I just wanted to make you aware of this (because we learned the hard way last week during our stay). We have always eaten at the WPE near Goofy's Candy Co. on each of our stays. We also did that this year on Thursday for lunch. We were able to order anything as a quick serve point and we did get the creme brulee as well. Fast forward to Saturday (we had La Nouba tickets and it was raining) so we decided to eat at the WPE at that end. Big Mistake!!! I couldn't even believe that the two restaraunts had the same name! The one by La Nouba had a VERY LIMITED menu, no indoor seating, not freindly service, and was just not good! To us it felt like a total waste of a meal point.

Yeah it seems crazy IMO that they are not the same.

They are owned by two different companies so you need to make sure you go to the good one in the marketplace.

My best guess is they did not want the one on Westside taking customers from the restaurants.
