I've never been to this one, but it looks like everyone raves about it...

Am considering adding it to our itinerary...

Do they take ADR's?

For those of you with kids, the kids menu looks good--did your kids enjoy it?

Thanks for input!

Chris

I must be a minority but I actually wasn't that fused. We had awful service and had to send back our appertizer twice as it wasn't cook and then was burnt (to which our waiter did say well we did ask them to cook it more). Our server was rude to us and when we complained at the podium after settling the bill we were told that we should have asked to speak to his manager and as we didn't they couldn't do anything about it.

That said it might have been an off day but I wouldn't go back there.

They do take ADR's and I would make one as the wait can be long. I had the 3 cheese ravaoli as main and this was cold but by this time I had given up sending stuff back as our waiter had already been rude about the appetiser.

My brother in law however had the kids menu as there was nothing he liked on the normal menu. He had the chicken tenders and said they were ok but they were the same as the ones you get anywhere really. He did however have the 'crazy california roll' and said this was fantastic.

I think from what everyone says about the resturant you may as well try it and see because everyone has a personal opinion on these things and as said I am a fussy eater so perhaps they were having an off day.

Anyway enjoy

We hated WPC. The service was poor and the food was just. IMHO, it wasn't worth the effort to get all the way over there. Won't be returning.

We loved it but I wouldnt make it part of the itinary if I was not going to DTD already. It is good but not worth a special trip in my eyes, because Disney has great options all over the place. (Spoodles is the only one I will go out of my way for.) That being said it was one of the best resturants we ate at the last time we were there.

Wolfgang Puck Cafe used to be enjoyable, but our last two visits were horrendous. Food sent back, lousy service (with attitude!) and high prices. I can put up with alot for terrific food, but our last two visits it was literally tasteless.

At DTD we like Portobello Yacht Club - or Fulton's if you're in a seafood-mood.

If you go to WGP cafe on the restaurants list here and try to
look at the menu....
A not so nice review of the place is there.....I will avoid it.

I would tend to disagree with many of the above postings. DH and I loved WGP cafe. It was a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. We thought the food was excellent! I think it's worth the trip to DTD.

Glad it wasn't just me who felt this. I always feel bad sending back food and when you have to send it back twice I feel like Im being a really bad customer but sometimes places do have an off day I guess. Still the fact other people have had the same view makes me sure Im not going to try it again

I've had two lunches at the cafe and both were enjoyable. I also love that I get 20% off with the AP. The sushi is nothing to write home about, but some of the entrees are quite tasty.

I saw that and have to say, it is pretty unprofessional to have a guide to restaurants at Disney World with what I guess is the website owner's own personal review scaring people away from one restaurant. In case anyone is wondering:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningdetail.cfm?Restaurant.ID=179

Yes, they can do whatever they want with their own website, but how about just a non-partisan guide and a link to reviews?

For the record, the review was written by Kevin Klose (not the website owner - Pete Warner) based on his personal experience.

I've listened to a number of Kevin's restaurant reviews on the DisUnplugged and read all of the ones on wdwinfo.com. I have yet to find a single one where I completely disagree with Kevin's assessment. I do find some minor points where my food tastes or service expectations but for the most part, he is right on the money!

He goes in with an open mind and takes things like crowd levels, off nights, etc. into consideration. He's probably one of the only reviewers of WDW eateries that I would trust. He always goes with a group of people, they try a number of dishes and look at things like the ability to accomodate handicap access and dietary restrictions.

BTW - thanks to Kevin's review we will be trying out Yachtsman's Steakhouse on our next trip...can't wait for those mushrooms!
