We ate at Wolfgang Puck this evening and I could not belive how bad the food was.We ate there this past Nov. and enjoyed our meal.Tonight we brought our boys and not one of us got a meal we liked. The chicken in the pasta was so dry I couldnt believe it.The pork chops were bland and the chicken that my wife got she didn't finish. My oldest son and myself are not picky eaters but we both agreed never again would we eat here. We have been on the DDP 3 times and this is the 1st TS that we didnt like. I know on certain nights they can be off but this was awful. Well tomorrow is another day but ive been reading some bad reviews for Ohana's so hopefully well have some better luck.

Sorry your meal was bad...we used to love WP's, but the last 3 times we went the food was not memorable to say the least and the service was even worse...too bad...it is off our list as well!

I've never eaten here but if you're going to "never" go to every restaurant where you have 1 bad experience then soon you'll be out of choices I think.

All restaurants can and do have off nights and the fact that you enjoyed your previous visit should at least prove that things can be good here. I think efery restaurant should get two chances at least. JNO though.

Tried it last year, it was THE worse meal of our trip.

The year before we tried WP Express and it was horrid to say the least.

I'm starting to rethink the reservations I had planned there. Is it really that bad? The menu looks good

We ate at WP express in 2005, it was great. I read a food report that said the food was great. I have read bad and good reviews for every resturant in Disney. Just hope for the best. :thumbsup2

We have eaten at WGP several times and have never had a bad meal. I love the ribeye and DH loves the pizza. Can't wait to go back in October!!

hmm. We have eaten there and at Express and really enjoyed the food. We've also had amazing service there, never a bad experience and never a bad meal. I wouldn't not go back because of one bad night.

I'd keep it. In fact, we're going back this August because when we ate there in Nov '06, we enjoyed it very much. Service could have been better, but given the fact that we went there on Thanksgiving, I chalked it up to that.

I think the reality is that all of these places have bad nights. I've read excellent posts about the Yachtman's Steakhouse (2 TS Credits) but when we went, it was one of the worst meals we had (very mediocre good and very poor service). I've come across a few bad reviews of WGP, but I've seen more good than bad.

That is true that every restaurant will have its share of good and bad reviews. I'm very easy to please with food, but do like a good atmosphere.

There is one question I have when it comes to WPC. I have seen in some threads that Sushi is an appetizers, but have seen in a thread that it counts as an entree. Can WPC expert give me the low down on this? Thanks

Sushi counts as an entree with DDP. It is listed as an appetizer on the menu but this is one exception in the plan. There are many other appetizers that are included in the plan. We ate there last Dec. and had a good meal - both of us had the rib eye steak.

I won't go back to WGP either. I was really excited to eat there based on the menu and the food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either just kind of bland and uninteresting. But what really got me was the fact that I requested my meal with no onions, I cannot digest onions so when our waitress asked if there were any special food needs I told her about my problem and asked about the dishes I thought looked good to ensure they could be made onion free. Well she had the chef come out which was nice and he assured me that my order would be onionless. Well I got about 1/4 through when I bit into an onion so I disceted the rest of my meal and sure enough they were there just chopped up really small. So instead of spending the evening at Pleasure Island my DH and I went back to the room and I felt horrible all night, even had to cancel breakfast the next morning.
I know there can be an off night but that just really got me since I didn't have that problem anywhere else we ate the whole trip.

I must not have good taste cause I have to admit that the Butternut Squash Soup, Pumpkin Ravioli and Flourless Chocolate Cake we had in Sept 06 is calling us back this Sept 07.

We had great service too and tipped extra.

Might be the luck of the draw?

Even I can have a bad day/good day once in awhile.

Slightly Goofy

This is one of our favorites. Everything we've had there has been great. Funny, huh? In fact the service was also great. The gal last time gave us a couple of good leads on Sushi, elsewhere (for a better price.)

We went last August and abolutely LOVED the restaurant. The food and service were amazing. We are returning this August and this was our first ADR we made. Don't let a few negative comments doubt your choice. I've never heard of a restaurant that 100% of the people enjoyed 100% of the time.

Wow. I am sorry you had such a bad meal here. We have eaten here twice and both times were yummy. I hope you hit it on bad night (shouldn't ever have a bad night) and it continues to be good. We have an adr here in Sept.

We had a similar experience - I loved it in 2005, hated it this past February. I ordered cheese ravioli both times - the first time it was wonderful; this last time it was could, undercooked and I think they forgot the cheese. Plus it is sooooo loud in there! Strangely, we had a great experience at the Express part - great food and service.

Went there last Sept. on advise from a friend and it was good but not our favorite. Our friends that had recommended it called me after there trip in April and said it was the worst meal of the trip. Service was horrible and food awful this time and they are very patient and not pickey people. I called to change our ADR for there to Spoodles and the CM said that would be a good move so I think it is well known they have gone downhill in a hurry.

My only complaint with WP is that the hostesses always seem incredibly unhappy about being there. But once we are seated, we usually have a good experience. They are pricey, but the 4 cheese pizza always calls me back. I plan on using a CS credit there on our next trip.

Sorry you had such a bad experience there!
