Wolfgang Express - What's good?

Most of the reviews that I have read mention the pizza is really good. What else is good other than pizza? :confused3

As much as I like pizza, we have ADR's for Via Napoli--not sure if I want to do pizza two days in a row. Thanks for any suggestions!

I miss the old menu. Better variety, more options. I still like Wolfgang Puck Express -- I ate dinner there with my girlfriend just last Wednesday -- but the changes may finally prompt me to try Earl of Sandwich next time.

I know you ruled out pizza, but I like the veggie pie and figured I would mention it anyway. I also recommend the tortilla soup, the salmon and the Chinois chicken salad.

I loved the spaghetti with tomato and basil sauce. Mmm mmm it was very good.
I am looking forward to eating it again in Feb. ;)

Have not eaten at WGP yet, but I do have reservations on the 18th. I looked at the menu and the Pumpkin Raviloi looks the best! My DH is wanting the blue steak. I am hoping what we have decided on is decent.

This is about WGP Express, right? That's what the thread title says anyway. If it turns out it's me that's confused, well, it's my first post. ;) OP does make reference to reservations, but Express is not the TS restaurant but instead CS.

The turkey cobb salad was actually pretty awesome after all the fries and crap I was eating elsewhere on QSDP, including much lamer salads elsewhere a couple times. ;) Then we ended up there a second time (dragging others in our party along this time) and I got the bacon-wrapped meatloaf. That is crazy rich but good. BTW, it's not on the menu board (or wasn't last week, and also not listed on AllEars), but they have really good cheesecake you can get for dessert, if you don't want the creme brulee (which is darned good of course but the cheesecake was more my speed after sampling both). The frozen yogurt is not good. The cashier remembered me from a couple days before!

Earl of Sandwich is good too, very crazy at lunchtime tho (at least last Friday it was). If you're using QSDP credit, get a side (like potato salad, really good) at Earl of Sandwich instead of dessert, which all looks kinda blah. (SO said the bread pudding was good, but it's packaged before somehow, at least earlier in the day if not days earlier.)

Just so you know, you are referring to Wolfgang Puck Cafe, a table service location elsewhere in Downtown Disney. The original poster asked about Wolfgang Puck Express, a gourmet counter service restaurant! They are similar but not identical. :)

Oops, like I said never been. :confused3

Everything I've had there is really good- high quality. Pizza, pastas, sandwiches, salads....all very very good.

We've had the pizza, sandwiches, and chicken alfredo there...all good esp. the creme brulee for dessert. Haven't experienced the new menu yet, and I'm really hoping we won't be disappointed next time.

Make sure to go to the Marketplace location, not West Side, much better selection.

It is eay to get them confused. However if you are going to eat in the cafe the get the Macadamia nut crusted chicken. It is a signature dish. Our server recomended it and I loved it.

The half rotisserie chicken was mouthwateringly good... and they had real butter melting on those amazing mashed potatoes... it was like eating a home-cooked meal!

The butternut squash soup was also phenomenal. And I had the macaroni and cheese - it was good, but not as good as the soup or the chicken.

We were there in August 09

I had the BBQ chicken quesadilla

It was delicious! I've wanted something similar many times since.

Dad had the BBQ chicken salad:

and really enjoyed it.

DH & MIL had a beef wrap & both enjoyed it:

If I recall correctly, the chips are home-made.

FIL had the pasta mentioned above & liked it. He doesn't like anything!

If it's still on the menu, we love the creme brulee.

The bacon-wrapped meatloaf! It was amazing, comes on top of mashed potatos and is topped with crispy fried onions. It was not as heavy as expected and had amazing flavor.

the chinois chicken salad is delish if it is still on the menu. But, I don't think you can go wrong with much. We have enjoyed everything we have had there.

:thumbsup2

I promise to try something new but each time I end up witht either the Chinois Chicken Salad or the Turkey Club Salad, I love them both. My son loves the soups, he's had them all and he also loves the Rotisserie Turkey Club and the Warm Turkey Melt. Our friends always get the spag & meatballs, they love it but I've nerver personally tried it.

I haven't been to the one in DD but we have one here and I love it.

My favorite dish of late (and I like all of their food that I have tried) is the veggie wrap. It is SOOO good! Looks similar to the beef wrap posted on page 1 but filled with sauteed veggies and a yummy tomato sauce (and of course cheese!)

WPE is my fave restaurant in WDW! LOVE everything I've ever had there. You can't go wrong! I hope they have the meatloaf next month. I really want to try that!

Question...DH has an extreme aversion to mushrooms, I think I read somewhere that there are mushrooms in the meatloaf? Can you verify this for me? TIA. :) He loves meatloaf and the pics I've seen look great, but I'd hate for him to order this and start picking through it.
