We just got back from 10 days of free dining at POP. We did all the above and had a great time. My daughter was in the MGM parade, she woke tink, and opened AK tip boards 2 times 10 days apart. We had a blast and would pay for the dining it was worth it.

Any questions i will try to help between laundry.

What exactly happens when you wake tink. I have seen her in the shop many times before. Also how did you get to participate in the parade. We have tried for years to get to do that. We go in three days and I am hoping that we can get to participate.

Yes, how did you get to participate in the parade?

How did you get to do any one of those things? We've tried and tried to be at the right place at the right time, and never had any luck with any of those things. :confused3

Ohhh, to be in a parade! That would be grand!

DD was chosen to open 1900 Park Fare and we thought that was big stuff! pixiedust:

Wow...that's pretty incredible. I've been to WDW over 10 times and never had any of that happen for us. In order to wake Tink, you have to the first in her shop...seems to be very popular now. As for the parades/park openings, it's just luck of the draw. People are chose quite randomly. Have to ask...did you (the OP) do anything special or have any special 'stand out' clothing on? I'm sure there are a ton of people out there who would love to know.

What does it mean to open the tip board at AK?

What a fabulous trip!! You must have had the time of your lives!!

We went to MB last wed. and they let you into the castle and hold the rope there. We were right in front of Tink's so i said to my daughter would you like to try and wake up tink. She was excited but i kept my cool in case someone beat us from the right side of the castle. We walked quickly into the store as asked to wake up tink and the CM said sure. You hold a wand and bang on a box 3 times and then lights go one and you get a certificate. It is cute. My daughter also help the lady undo the rope that day. :cool1:

As for the parade we were near Star Tours where the parade starts and sat on a bench. We asked a CM if we would be able to see the parade from here. He said sure but a better place is in the parade. We said sure. They pick 10 kids to hold the rope at the end. The best part is you wait in AC at the start of the parade and they save you a spot to see the whole parade till the end.

At Ak EMH they open the park by opening the tip board at the rope drop. My daughter was just standing at the rope and a CM asked her to help. The second time they asked for a vollunteer and she yelled the loudest i guess.

All in all i guess we just were very lucky and had alot of pixi dust thrown our way. It also helps to be at the rope. princess:
