The second show is generally not very crowded and you will most likely be able to just walk up to any open viewing area. Every time we’ve seen the second show it hasn’t been busy and there was plenty of space around us.

I enjoy the railing behind the pal-around wheel (to the left). It is the backside of the show but there is no one there. The show is a basic Disney montage but "start a wave" is a pretty good recording and sounds just as good from the back.

They typically open the VQ area for standby guests to join about 5 to 10 minutes before the show starts for both showtimes.
