We are heading out next week and I would love to see WOC. There is myself, DH, and 4 kids. I didn't do the dining as my kids are so picky and don't like the food they offered. So Now I got to figure out how to wing it to see the show.

I figured I had to get there when park opens and get fast pass, Should I arrive earlier? And if I happen to get a fast pass what time should I arrive for the show? I would love any hints or advice you can give me.

Thanks!
Holly

I HIGHLY recommend getting the picnic lunch or booking dinner. The line snaked all the way down from GRR past Soarin and up into the plaza and around the corner. Basically you can waste 2 or more hours waiting for a ticket....valuable park time imo:thumbsup2

I have only waited that long for 1 thing, never again.

It's true. The picnic option is such a great deal, if you really just want the pass. The picnics I had were good. The dining option was nice as well, but I was never really sure if I really made it to the preferred area lol.

Thanks for your help! I decided to order 6 picnic meals. We will just eat what we like and through out the rest. The drinks are included so that is a good deal. My children will also like the bracelets. Now what do I do after I ordered them?

There are signs right by WCT telling you where to pick them up. I can ask tomorrow if you like as we will be spending our last day there:goodvibes

Print out your confirmation, if you haven't already. If you don't have a laser printer, I would put the paper in a plastic bag just in case it gets wet.

Have a great trip!

I'm glad you decided to go with the picnic package. We just got home today, and it looked like a nightmare for people who didn't do the dining package. They waited in line for hours (that line was HUGE!), people didn't get tickets at all, and they were packed like sardines into their viewing sections. Those of us with dining passes sat in the middle section (best spot!), and I do mean SAT and had plenty of room to relax until we stood up to watch the show. I spoke to several frustrated parents who either didn't get tickets, didn't know about the FP thing, or waited until Wed only to find there were no shows wed and thurs. What a mess.

do I go to order the picnic?

You order it on the DL website on the tickets & packages section. It shows a calender and tells which days are available and you just click on the day you want to reserve a picnic package. You can only order it online, you can't reserve it by phone.

You also can order it on the day of the show, but I have read that if you order the tickets on the day of the show the guests got the 2nd show FP that day. If you order it in advance, you will get the first show FP.

I'm going to DCA on Monday the 26th, where is the viewing area if you have a picnic pass?

The picnic just gets you a "regular" FP, so you're in the same area as people who stood in line to get theirs earlier that day. You just don't have to wait in line for it! I think the picnic passes get you into either the Blue or Yellow areas, but if you want a prime spot in those areas you'll still need to line up before hand.
