We are doing the WOC dinning to get the preferred section for WOC. My question is should we still live up 2 hrs before the show to get that BEST spot that was on hydroguys WOC super thread? Also is it frowned upon if say I wait in line to hold our spot while DW and kids do other things like go to bugs land and meet back up with us closer to show start? Do they allow you to do this? Or do we all have to stand in line for hours? Also what about strollers? Are they allowed in the WOC viewing area or do we need to leave them somewhere?

Thanks

Good questions. WoC has been designed with this FP ticket system so people don't have to wait for the show or stake out spots for thier group.

Suggestion of when to show up vary. I have seen 15 minutes before the return time to 45. This really depends on how much you want to jockey for position within your color group. Once the group is let in to Paradise Park is the really key to getting a great view. Most people go clostest to the water. People who have seen the show from the closest rail rarely complain. The Best spot has a view over the heads of the front people.

Once you get into Paradise park people can come and go, but consider as it gets fuller and fuller how you would feel if you find a spot and 3 very tall people join the spot holder in front of you.

I don't know about strollers, but since there are stairs into the area you will probably have to fold it up.

we saw it back at the end of Aug. We got our FP & then saw that people were still lining up an hour or more before. They will let you in with your FP 30-45 minutes before & I would suggest that your whole group be there around that time, once you're in, it will be hard to hold spots.

Oh & 1 more thing. if you are near the front, you will get wet.

I would say you may get wet. I have been at the front twice - once at the very, very front of the wet red zone - and barely got wet at all.

I'll just chime in on the strollers... we brought ours in with us... stood against the front rail in the preferred dining section, and I held DD while she stood on her stroller seat... put her just a bit higher, still below my eye level (I am a short 5'3". We saw everything perfectly. Yes there are stairs, I just had dd get out and we walked the stroller quickly down the stairs to the front rail.

Yes, I should clarify, I don't remember which color section we were in (I think Blue), but we were the front of our section at a railing & we got wet, which at 9:45 at night, isn't too cool. Don't get me wrong, we were soaked or anything, but a hoodie helped. It seemed to come more from the blasts of water that went high in the air than just from the general "fans" of water.

What about before they let us into the WOC viewing area, while we are still in line? Can I hold a spot then, or is this still not a good idea?

For the 8:15 show, should I line up around 6pm? We should be let in to the viewing area around 7:30 right?

You will not be able to save a spot for your family while waiting to enter the viewing area. It is, at best, a highly disorganized mob. Stay together to get in and get your spots. You can duck out for quick bathroom breaks after you are settled.

The night I went, most people began showing up beginning at 6:45, and we were let in at 7pm.

Given that the preshow starts at 7:45, you are really only looking at a one hour wait...and part of that is spent on the move. It's not nearly as bad as it sounds. There is tons for kids to look at. Pick up some glow sticks before your trip- assembling glow stick bracelets is a great time filler!

We got in the mass crowd at 6:15 for the 8:15 show... were moved into more organized lines at 7:00, and then were allowed to move to our areas via those lines at 7:15. There was no pre-show on our night (last Thursday)... so we sat for almost an hour before they made us stand up for the show.

Is the preshow gone for good? (I saw it mid-week in September and was surprised that it was running...but it was.) It wasn't anything special in my mind, but it was nice to have a diversion while waiting.

I agree with your comment on the pre show. Nothing great but takes your mind off waiting.

It occured during my offseason viewing.
