We have never seen WOC and are thinking about going this visit. I'm making a list of the things we have never done, but want to do, because this will be our last visit for awhile. Going to travel in different directions over the next few years.

So, my Mom will be with us the last few days of our trip and she will be on a scooter. I've read about handicap seating for WOC but can't find the great post I read awhile back. Teach me to be better at marking posts that will be helpful in the future.

My understanding is that there are benches for disabled guests, but those with them cannot use the benches. Can they stand behind them? Sit on the ground? I need some more info on how this will work.

We went Sunday night with someone in an ECV. We had blue FP's, so we ended up right by the entrance to the blue viewing area. Our family member sat in her ECV and we stood around her. We had a great viewing area (if you look at the WOC super thread, it's right behind the fire hydrant in the blue area, towards the back). The only benches I saw were for VIPs, so I'm not sure about benches for regular/handicapped guests. There was a rail around a tree that we could lean against, or you can sort of lean on the railing in the front. It was a little difficult for our family member to see some parts of the show, but overall she could see most of it. Hope that helps!

My husband and daughter were allowed to stand behind me when I went last Christmas.

Yeah, I stood behind DH's ECV and our girls were in their double stroller. The party next to us, however, came later, and by that time the 11 of them took turns sitting in the one wheelchair they had rented and the bench next to them. CMs didn't say a thing so it may be possible to get a bench seat if you're not super early.
