During our Disneyland trip both WoC shows will be showing. Do I need to obtain two FP's in order to be able to see both shows?

How do I go about this? As I assume they allocate FP's for the earliest show (Winter) first? Would I be better booking a dining package for one show and FP for the other show?

Any tips and hints gratefully received!

DLR has not done two different WoC shows in one night in the past (at least not that I recall) so how the FP system is going to work is still unknown. Assuming they use the existing system, then yes, they would distribute the FPs for the first show first, followed by the FPs for the second show. I'm hopeful that they'll let guests pick which show, but no one really knows what will happen yet. We may not know until they start presenting both shows in a few weeks.

At this point, planning on a WoC dining package and getting a FP is probably the safest way to guarantee that you'll be able to see both shows in one night. Assuming they're using the FP system for both shows, you will need to get a FP for both shows in order to see both shows from the FP viewing areas. They clear out the FP viewing areas between shows, so you cannot go in for the first show and then wait in the same spot for the second show.

Thanks - that was really helpful, I didn't realise this had not happened before!

In the latest Mouse Planet update, they were saying that guests will be able to choose which WOC FP they wanted. It did not say if guests could choose both.

This is in agreement with earlier reports that WOC FPs would be distributed concurrently for both shows. Still unknown if guests may get FPs for both shows.

My gut reaction is probably not, since guests are currently not allowed to obtain multiple WOC FPs. But of course, we probably won't know until someone reports back.

If you want to see both shows on the same night, I would make a point of doing a dinner package for one and pulling a FP for the other.

IMO Winter dreams was blah and I love Frozen , it was just too..boring. I felt it was a little more geared around the holiday which doesn't exactly hold any special meaning to me so maybe that's why it bored me.

I absolutely loved Celebrate and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Which one is a better show???
I don't know that I would really say either show was "better" - they different from each other. I think it really depends on whether you like Frozen and the holidays or wanted something more movies/Disneyland specific (but still with Frozen).

I've seen both shows and neither really "wow'd" me in the sense that I'd make a huge of point of going back to see either show. They were fun to see, but the viewing area is still tough to deal with (it's not friendly to children or shorter adults). You really have to be willing to get there before they open the viewing areas so you can grab a rail spot if you want to see the show as it was meant to be seen. If you can't see the water surface, it's basically just mist screen images with dancing water fountains.

Winter Dreams was fun, but you have to like Frozen. You have to remember it was developed during the height of the Frozen-craze last year, so it features Frozen (especially Olaf) pretty heavily. Other than that, it was a cute show featuring holiday images and music.

I saw WoC: Celebrate about a month ago and I'm of mixed feelings about the show. Of the three new shows that debuted for the 60th Anniversary, I do feel that WoC: Celebrate is the only one that is really about Disneyland. It's not entirely about Disneyland (they still worked in Let It Go and Frozen, along with clips from other animated movies), but it does feature Disneyland. Whereas both PtN and Disneyland: Forever really aren't about Disneyland - they're about Disney and Pixar movies. So in that way, I did like WoC: Celebrate, but I did think it was a bit slow in parts...it felt like it had uneven pacing. I'm also on the fence about Neil Patrick Harris' performance; there was nothing wrong with it per se, but his voice (singing) wasn't as strong as some of the others in the show and I felt like that detracted from the overall show.

If you'll be back at some point when it's not the holidays, I would go see WoC: Winter Dreams. If this is your only trip (in the near future), I would just go to whichever show works into your schedule better.
