We're going to be in DL in May and as we're setting up reservations for places to eat I just wanted to get opinions on dining at Ariel's Grotto during WOC. Is it really worth $40 to get a reservation to eat there and watch WOC? :)

This question will incite a variety of answers, both negative and positive. :goodvibes My personal opinion based on my family's WoC dining experience last November, I do not feel that it is worth the expense. If you are planning on seeing the show and are also going to eat at one of the WoC dining restaurants anyway, then you might as well.

Make sure to check out these threads to be prepared for the experience:

I also think that a good viewing spot is essential for truly enjoying WoC. Good luck and have fun! :thumbsup2

I just noticed that our tickers have the same countdown! Guess we will be there at the same time.

watching WOC from there is like sitting at the side of the show. The show in general will be great but I don't think the video portion will show up very well.

Save your money, and just get a fastpass - enjoy the show front and center and eat at Ariels before or later - or somewhere else.

Thats the best of both.

I'm pretty sure that the OP is referring to ordering the preferred dining package, not to eating at Ariel's during WOC. OP, have you read the super thread? You do not actually eat during the show. You eat, then get a ticket for the show after and line up 30-60 min before the show (the earlier the better). As the PP mentioned, it's not worth it unless you wanted to eat at Ariel's anyway.

Oh wow, haha. It's a small world I guess. ;D

Oh my. I just skimmed through the thread, I was under the impression that you ate during the show! We decided to just stick with the FP to see WOC, seeing as it's pretty much out of our budget anyways. Thank you all for the responses though! They were greatly appreciated! :)
