WoC starting "late this year"

I wonder what "late this year" means. From my emailed version of the Disney Insider:

"There are big things underway at Disney's California Adventure Park, and the first of many exciting changes is almost ready to be unveiled. The lagoon near Paradise Pier is in the final stages of a makeover that sets the stage for the most spectacular water show in Disney history — and quite possibly anywhere! This summer, night will take on a whole new color (or a rainbow of them).

Picture more than 1,200 powerful fountains dancing in elaborate choreographed patterns, fire effects, fog, lasers, and stunning color displays, all set to stirring music — and topped with animation "painted" on to screens of moving water! It's "World of Color," and it will be lighting up the nights at California Adventure Park starting late this year."

That doesn't sound like summer. Anyone have info?

I just read that on the Disney Insider too! I wonder if they are pushing it back so much because of the rain, etc!

Oh, you scared me for a second!

I think it must be a typo for "later this year".

Earlier the very same email says: This summer, night will take on a whole new color (or a rainbow of them).

This summer is not considered late this year, at least not with the Western calendar.

(Or to put it another way, Disney does own ABC, which runs "Better Off Ted." I think they have some memo typists from Veridian Dynamics working on Disney's emails.)

I was reading the email as well and I found it funny. It being a simple typo makes the most sense since every other source we've seen is that it will be up before Spring is over.

I hope it's a go...I'll be there in May and Fantasmic will still be down, so hopefully there will be some night entertainment..although..as far as crowds go..hmmmmm...

Albort - I was assuming the Disney Insider is pretty reliable, since it comes right from Disney. But maybe not?

could be a lame typo but who knows. DCA tracker page on micechat hasn't changed or anything, so idk. i pray this isnt one of the dragon mishaps we had with fantasmic.
