WOC Picnic Questions

Forgive me if this has been asked 100 times already, and has been answered somewhere else. But how do you know which FP you are getting (blue or yellow) when ordering a picnic online?

Also, am I right to assume you can eat the picnic while you are in line for WOC or staking your viewing spot out?

Also, am I right to assume that we want to line up roughly two hours before the show? We will be trying to watch WOC on Sept. 14th, a Tuesday night. The show starts at 8:15.

If you get the picnic early during the day of the show, you will most likely get the blue FP and later during the day most likely the yellow FP. I did the picnic on Saturday and I pickup our picnics at 12 pm and expected we got the blue FP for the 9 pm show. When ordering it online you will be assured to get the 9 pm show and ordering it on the day of the show you will get the 2nd show.

I have seen people eat their picnics at the viewing area. So yes, you can bring your picnic to the viewing area.

Well actually, you have to wait right by the blockade right next to the light tower. If you want a railing viewing area, I would show up two hours right by the blockade. Or show up later and have to fight through a mob of other guests who are fighting there way to get a railing area. I don't think they would like to be behind other guests.

I ordered 6 picnic dinners for last Thursday. Since, I picked mine up at 12:30 and was able to pick Blue or Yellow FP for 9pm.(of course, I asked if I could pick) I picked the Blue after asking some CMs what they thought was the better view. (All the CMs I asked said Blue.)

They won't let you in the viewing area until the time on the FP. In this case, 7:45. There were lots of people waiting by the entry to the viewing area when we got there at 7:35. No worries, we still got on the bridge and one of the best views to see the show. I was very impressed and wowed by WOC. It was totally worth the money of the picnic meal and waiting with the crowd for the viewing area.

It might be different for the 8:15 showing in Sept. I am curious if it will be much the same.

I ordered the picnic on line for July 31st ... picked our meals up about 4:30pm and we were given blue fastpasses. Unfortunately we didn't end up using them though ...

Did they have to cancel the show that night or did something come up to where you couldn't make it?

Show wasn't cancelled ... we just didn't make it. It was our last night and we were just worn out. With packing and all for a very early flight, we didn't go. We had seen the show earlier in the week ... it was truly Amazing! I wanted to get the picnics so we had the opportunity to see it twice if we chose to.

They don't really check to see if the meals matched adults or kids. You can order a kid's meal with no problems. Only one person need to pick up the meals, but that person will have to know what drinks each member of their party wants.
