WOC FP - tickets need to be activated?

Does the DL FP system (specifically the WOC FP machine) require the ticket to be used/activated that day like the WDW FP system? We're staying at VGC and I'm curious if one person can hop into DCA at opening and grab WOC FPs for everyone. If so, has anyone ran a group of tickets through the gate in order to activate all of the tickets? I don't know if the CMs would let someone do that or not.

Kind of related - does DL use the biometric scan thing for regular hoppers (no APs or special passes)? It's been a few years since we've been, but they used to invisi-stamp your hand as you exited and you had to show the stamp to hop parks or get back in (I think they did this to cut down on ticket sharing).

All tickets need to be activates by the ticket holder by entering DL or DCA on the day you go to get WoC FPs.

DLR does not have the scanners. Though currently DCA is having new turnstyles built that will have them. It's having the whole entry redone so this may be a while before they are in use. DL will get them later.

Just a little additional information for the OP.

In order to get WoC FPs in DCA, everyone in the group does NOT need to enter DCA. They only need to enter one of the two Parks on that day to activate the tickets for BOTH Parks. So... It IS possible for everyone goes into DL, one person then goes over to DCA with all tickets (using just one at the turnstile), and gets WoC FPs for everyone's tickets.
