WOC & Firework scheduling

We (my husband and I) will be going in mid Oct, arriving on a Saturday. I plan to do the fireworks and second Fantasmic that night. I also want to do Ariel Grotto for WOC. But I am wondering if I should book it on Sunday or Monday night. I was originally thinking Sunday - that way if we enjoy the show, we have the option of getting FP on Monday or Tuesday for a repeat. But it also sounds like fireworks can get cancelled and Sunday is my only second chance. This makes me think it would be a better choice to book AG on Monday - leaving Sunday open just in case. And if we love WOC, we can repeat on Tuesday.

What do you recommend?

(WOC is 9 & 10:15 on Sunday and 8:15 on Monday)

I have to say that the fireworks are an absolute must see. The Halloween Screams show is the best fireworks show ever done at Disneyland.

So do Fireworks your first night. WoC the second night. And if you love both, do both on Monday

I completely agree with doing fireworks the first night due to the risk of cancellation, I just wanted to comment that Halloween Screams is only being shown at the (extra ticket required) Mickey's Trick or Treat parties this year, so that is bot the show the OP will see.

That is right darn it. So, if there is a party one of the nights, plan that night to be the fireworks night. As it sits right now, they will be letting people who are not there for the party in to see the fireworks.

I won't try and stay for the fireworks on the party night if I don't buy the party tickets - it won't be right.

At this point I'm thinking of not going to the party - don't need candy and not really into characters. And since we have from noon the first day, three full days and a few hours our last day, I figure we won't need the extra time and by Tuesday we may want an excuse to make it an early night. I would love to see the Halloween fireworks - but not at $44 a piece.

Can you cancel WOC dining the same day without penalty? Of course the bigger trick might be to get reservation for the next day if I were to try and change my plans because of firework cancellation.
