I apologize if I'm asking a question that has already been answered, but an exhaustive search still left me with ???s.
We are heading to DL/DCA 8/7 - 8/14 and are splurging for the Fantasmic dessert package, so are going the cheap route for WOC by getting Fastpasses for the show.
The park opens @ 8AM the day we are planning, and we are planning on using Magic Morining hours to get in @ 7. Can anyone tell me what time Fastpasses will begin distribution, and how high a priority should getting to the machines be if we want a chance for best seating (could we play at Cars Land a bit then hit the machines?).

Thank goodness for all you DISboarders - you've helped us have Disney fun more than you'll ever know!!!:worship:

P.S. Read on one post that the riverboat is not currently working during Fantasmic. Can anyone confirm or deny?

The FP will be available when the park opens (after EMH). You should not have a problem getting one for the first show if you are there within the first 2-3 hours. The FP does not provide you a seating priority. You are going to have to line up about 45-90 minutes before the show in order to ensure a good spot.
I don't know if you have seen the WOC Superthread, but there is some great info here about what to expect, and some good spots for viewing where you don't have to line up as early.

Hopefully someone can answer the F! MT question you have.

Just want to make sure you know that your chance for seating is zero because there is no seating. :) Only standing.

Read the link to the WOC Superthread from the PP but WOC FPs are easy to get and there is no special time you need to go. If you get them in the morning you can see the first show. I would try for Yellow FPs myself but there are good spots in both.

Do you have Magic Morning or do you have Extra Magic Hour? Big difference since Magic Morning does not let you in to DCA early.

The Riverboat does not operated DURING F! as the river and the boat are..."busy"...during the show. But works prior to F!

I believe the OP was asking whether or not the Riverboat has been operating for its part in F! There were some reports on here recently that they weren't able to use the Riverboat with the characters on it at the end of the show as they usually do. :)

disneyfan4ever54, that's exactly what I was wondering. Maybe I am trying to plan for and control the uncontrolable. I appreciate your help!
Hey, guess what? We are disneyfan(s)4ever too - Thanks ;)!

We watched Fantasmic last Tuesday and the Mark Twain was operational as usual. Maybe it was due to the weird weather at the end of last week?
