WOC Fastpasses-do all tix need to be scanned at the gate?

I have read so much on WOC I am forgetting what I read!! I vaguely remember reading that if your tix had not been scanned at the front gate you cant get a WOC fastpass? Is that the case? Or can DH make the sacrifice, get up early and get us all fastpasses if he has all are tix?

You cannot get a FP for anything without the entrance tickets first scanned at either the DL or DCA gates. This includes WOC FPs.

Bummer...so how early are people lining up these days? What time do I need to get there to get a fastpass for the first show?

Well the park doesn't open until 10 so maybe you can all get there and get in to get the FP's....and yes your park passes have to be scanned for that day or they cannot get FP's.

We were at DC recently and the line for WOC FP's around 10:30am ran from Grizzly to Soarin. It seemed to be moving fairly quickly though.

If you don't want to stand in line for the FP's you can purchase the picnic option online. I think it's $14 for a box lunch and includes a WOC FP for the 9pm show.

I'm drawing a blank, so I thought I'd ask. Can one person in the group get all the FP's if everyone has entered at least one of the parks? For example, let's say that there are four of us and we all go into DL (so the tickets have been scanned). Then later, one person heads over to DCA. Can that person get the FP for everyone or do all of the tickets need to have been used for entrance into the park that the FPs originate from?

Yes, one person can carry everyone's ticket and get FP for the group. The CMs (at least when I did it) are line up, ask you how many tickets you have and they scanned them and grabbed the FP's and handed them back to you. Makes me think that they hadn't worked out all the kinks and perhaps you could get multiple FP with the same ticket, otherwise why have the CMs there doing it for you and asking you how many you had? Of course, that is pure speculation, they may have found that it goes faster that way then the normal guest speed of scanning tickets...
