WOC Dining Package Opinion Please!

Which restaurant should we choose for our World of Color dining package?

  • Ariel's Grotto (This was out as a choice, but the DL site says it is back in).

  • Wine Country Trattoria

  • Carthay Circle

Please vote for one in my poll, and if you don't mind, give me your reasons in a post! My 15 year old son is VERY picky, so I am paying for an adult meal for him, but he won't eat "weird" food. haha! So I am trying to keep that in mind as well. Thanks for your help!

I voted for Ariel's Grotto. It's my most eaten-at restaurant at any Disney park. I liked it a bit more a year or two ago though. The menu for all WoC packages seems to change somewhat often. I also like it a lot better during Standard Time season when the sun sets sooner and you can see the pier lit up mid-evening if you have an outside table. I liked Carthay Circle when they gave WoC vouchers for ordering an entrée + appetizer or dessert, but now they do the prix-fixed menu and it's significantly more expensive than Ariel's for dinner. When I eat at Carthay, it's usually not for the WoC package. They do offer lunch which is about the same price as Ariel's dinner, though, so that's something to consider. Trattoria's lunch is the cheapest package of the bunch, but dinner is the same price as Ariel's and I prefer the location and offerings of Ariel's a bit more. I'll eat just about anything on Ariel's and Carthay's menu. I don't go to Trattoria enough but I always figured it was the more "safe" option.

That said, my next WoC package will likely be Carthay. It really is a beautiful restaurant and I've been to Ariel's quite often. I need something different. I might even just have a regular dinner at Carthay and go for the WoC FP instead.

My vote's for Ariel's Grotto. Carthay Circle is nice and everything but not "Disney" enough for me (it does have more food options though, if picky eating is a serious concern.)

I did not know this. Strengthens my vote for the Grotto

I picked Carthay Circle. We are doing the World Of Color package in the beginning of May and after looking at the 3 menus, Carthay Circle is the one we decided on. My husband is a big steak lover and we don't eat it at home so he liked Carthay Circle's steak option. Plus I hear the inside of the restaurant is really cool, lots of hidden Snow White stuff. My friend ate there and the wicked queen's face was etched in the wood grain of her table.

picky eater house here, so we are going to do the woc lunch for a burger lol but as my son said it has bacon on it mama lol. I don't think any of the others look good to me but this one looks yummy. After a long day at the zoo today and talking about our trip my kid talked me in to doing both woc and F packages too.

Thank you all so much for your great opinions! Are you all talking about the menus on The Dis or can I find the WoC specific menus somewhere else?

Anyone else have opinions for me?

Thanks everyone!

Both of my picky boys liked Ariel's, and chose the shells and cheese with Goldfish crackers. Hope they still offer this, you can get an adult portion if you want.

If you google allears Disneyland menus a link will pop up. That's what I used to look at all the menus.

My DS (11) is finicky, too. He likes WCT because they'll let him have pasta with butter, cheese, and meatballs (no sauce). The only way I'd take him back for a WOC meal at CC again was if we had another set of vouchers for being APs (I'm not paying those prices for plain noodles!). He did like their tomato soup appetizer, though.
