I know this has been asked/answered bunches of times and I've searched through threads to answer my question. Despite that I decided to just go ahead and ask those of you have already gone to the dessert party. Because I'm needy that way. :rolleyes1

How early would you recommend we arrive? I'm not super worried about where we sit, only mildly because we are 2 short girls. My reservation says 9 for our 9:45 show. In the past with the WOC dining package we would usually head over an hour early. I'm inclined to just do that.

Thoughts? It's these little details that keep me awake at night...

Thanks in advance!! :thanks:

Typically it is first come first serve on table selection but if you have a group of 9 I would willing to bet that the reserve you two tables together for your group ahead of time.

I'm curious though. We are a party of 2 and have been told we might have to share a table. If we are sharing, does that mean we won't get a choice of tables either?

You definitely don't need to be there an hour early. We tried and they pretty much chased us away. We probably lined up about 30-40min ahead. They checked us in around 8:30 but no one was seated till 9:00. They're pretty strict about that. We didn't get a choice of table, but we didn't ask either. The only preassigned tables were large groups. We got a front row high top but honestly I think any table would have been fine. We were a party of 3 and got our own table. I guess it will depend on how full the party is whether you have to share or not. You'll have a great time!!

This was our view. We did have a couple of lights in the way but they didn't really affect the show for us.

I went as a party of two who shared a table. From my experience, the first party of two gets to pick the table (to the extent they are allowing choices, since that seems to vary), and the second to arrive just gets seated with them.

That makes sense. I just don't think I'll be happy with that so we'll have to get there early.

I remember reading that parties of 2 would be put together, which doesn't thrill me, but at least I've been warned.

And I agree with mom2rtk, I think I'll be inclined to get there early so we can at least have a little say on where we sit.

I'm going this Thursday, which had an original reservation time of 7:15 for a 8:15 show. Now looking at the event on Disneyland.com, it shows as a 7:30 reservation. I guess I'll probably show up around 7:30 and hope for the best. There is still availability for my night, so maybe I won't have to share a table!

I booked a party of 3, even though we are 2. I am hoping to not have to share a table and yes, I am willing to pay for another plate to have my own table. Hopefully, it works out.

:) though totally financially irresponsible, I would probably do the same thing lol! At least if it's only 1 person you'll still have a little space.

We were a party of 2, and they asked if we preferred a high or low table, and then sat us with another group of 2 based on our preference. We were like the 5th party in line though, so maybe that's why we still got to choose? I wasn't thrilled with sharing a table either, but it ended up to be just fine - pleasant chit chat while waiting for the show to start, and then once it begins, we almost forgot they were there!

Tables of 4. You could still be seated with a solo if they are 100% sold out.

The way they are arranged, it is not as awkward as it may seem if you seated with another party and you can be as engaged or disengaged with the rest of the table as you are comfortable with.

I'm sure it's been asked and answered....is there an AP discount for the WOC dessert party?

They may or may not actually give you the extra, they may just think that the extra person didn't come for whatever reason.

There is always the chance that they sit a party of 1 at your table. I was lucky, that I didn't have to share a table when I went. Buy as a party of one I fully expected to.

My DGD8 and I did the WoC Dessert Party at the end of September. We were the first in line, so we got to pick our table. Another couple did join us and they were really nice, so we had a great experience sharing our table. The only slightly odd thing is that, although you get your own dessert plate, you share a serving of bread sticks for the table.

My bff and I, a party of two, arrived about an hour early before the start of WOC (so 15 minutes before check in time). We were almost at the end of the line. They checked us in but we did not get seated until about 30 minutes before the show. They asked us if we wanted a high or low top; I said 'well, we are both pretty short, so I'd like a high top unless another high top is in front of us or I'd like to be at a low top without anyone in front of us". They gave us a high top to ourselves that was right in the front without anyone in front of us. We were a little off to the side--but it was a good view.

:genie:Maybe this is a silly question, but is the desert party the only option to get seating? Does the WOC dinner at any of the restaurants have seating area?:rolleyes1
