We will be going to DL later this year and I am wodering if my 10 yr old DD would be able to order a childs meal instead of an adult meal. The only thing I see on both menus that she would eat is the chicken and rice child's meal.:sad2:

Yes but she'll still be charged an adult price and get an adult size portion.

This is what we do with some of my tweens. They prefer the child's offerings, but are now "Disney adults". We do this at table service restaurants as well.

For instance, at BB my daughter enjoys the mac and cheese. They give her a salad or gumbo, plus the big portion of mac and cheese for $18. I know that seems expensive, but the adult alternatives start at $28.

Wow - I didn't realize that they couldn't order off the kids menu after the age of 9...that just seems really young... If your kid really didn't want that much food at a sit-down menu place (not a buffet), would they let two kids share an adult-sized portion?

Yes, meals can be split, many TS places have a split plate fee so be aware of that.
