Where is the bridge that people have watched WOC from?

How does it work when the park closes at 10 and WOC is at 10:15?

I have a solo trip:yay: for only 24 hours and am looking forward to seeing everything in both parks. I got talked into doing the WOC when I was making reservations for WCT last night. I don't really want to spend part of my time waiting in line to set a space to see it. I am hoping to see Aladdin. Since I have never seen all of DCA (actually have spent very little time there in past visits) and only have friday from 4 pm in the park, I really don't care if I see WOC or not. Plus if I do Aladdin and WOC, I don't think I will see much else of the park. I thought that if I was around the area and could get to the bridge to view it, I might stop for at least part of it.

I was going to eat at WCT but is there another place you would suggust in DCA? A couple of there appetizers sounded very good.

Thank!

All the rides shut down at 10 pm, the only thing that will take place is WOC. I think it's worth seeing, I think WCT has good food, it was out of the question for my family of 4 so we just did the picnic meals.

You can't just walk up and watch from the bridge. A fastpass is required- just like the other viewing areas.

The bridge is 95% part of the Blue viewing section. The other %5 is not a good view. the bridge runs from the Parade route to the boardwalk. You could find it on a map between Wine Country Trattoria and Ariels Grotto on a map.

The park's attraction que's will close at 10pm. The dining and retail will have a staggered shut down until 11. Officially the park will be closed at 11. Below I'll explain more about why the show is after 10.

WoC for a good view requires a FP. Since you are arriving later you could do a dinner or picnic. Click the Dining tab for details.

If you just want appetizers though, Try the Alfresco Lounge, it to the right and about WCT.

Regarding coming into the park, know that at 8pm all the attractions around the boardwalk except for TSMM close for WoC. This only leaves a few attractions open after this time.

People are allowed into the viewing area about 1 hour and 15 minutes before the first show. The second or third show have shorter gaps so for the previous show to run and the viewing area to be cleard out takes about 30 minutes of the next lapse.

Still for the later shows you meet in a waiting area before going to the viewing area.

Having seen it, if you only had 6 hours in the park would you go see it or use the time for something else?

thanks for your help.

Having only a few hours inthe park, will I be able to see any of it if I don't have a fast pass? It seems that if I keep my WOC & dining, I won't have much time for anything else. I don't need to see WOC from the best view. I will hopefully be back next year with my new daughter.

thanks!

Think of it this way. You can see something but it's not the show. It would be like watching a movie 2 feet in front of the screen. It's just not the same.

I'd take a look, since you mentioned appetizers at the park, maybe one of these picnics would work for your food and tickets needs.

When we were there in Sept, we decided too see a little bit of the first show to see if it was worth our time to stay for the second show so we watched a little portion of the show through the windows of Ariels Grotto, we could see the show well enough to get the general excitement and that was enough for us.
