Is there an sort of view I should ask for at the WLV? Is it possible to see the lake? The cast member I asked said there were just pool or woods views - can anyone describe these for me? Thanks!

It's true that VWL have very few 'water' vew rooms. Most are of the trees, and there's a wilderness feeling. We love it there, and have been fortunate enough to get pool/lake view rooms on our stays, but are usually there at less busy times or have booked far in advance.

The direct pool view rooms also have a small view of the lake beyond. It's not as much of a lake view as if you stayed in the courtyard view rooms at the Lodge, but we enjoy it very much.

I was just there last week and the waterview you can see sort of looking through allot of trees and some overlook the pool area. the other side over look a woods on the other side of the resort. it is a great place to stay I loved is so much the whole lodge feeling is one you will not forget. Have fun;)

Yes there are lake view rooms. In fact, you can ask for a Seven Seas Laggon Water Pageant view and see the water parade every night from your balcony. A great room for this is 472. Ask for a room that has an open balcony. 372 has stone balconies that can't be seen through so you have to stand up to see anything.

Wl/VWL is on Bay Lake - not Seven Seas Lagoon (that the Polyn, Cont and GF) - Cont is on both

you want to ask for a room near the elevators on the pool/lake side - all the bad views are on the other side.

what have you got a studio, 1 or 2 bedroom?

studio comes with a queen bed, a double sleeper sofa, regular stuff in a hotel room - Tv, etc - also a under-the-counter refrigerator, mircowave, toaster, can opener and coffee maker - plus some paper plates, bowls, plastic knifes, forks, spoons - 4 glasses and 2 mugs.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I will call and ask for a water/pool view. I actually have not been able to get through due to a busy line for the last two days - anyone know why this might be? I have a one bedroom, is there a room number in particular I should ask for?

I didn't say it was on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Read the post next time. I said there was a Seven Seas Lagoon Water Pageant view. In fact, you can ask CRO for a Seven Seas Lagoon view as many of those CM's refer to it as such.
