WLV and getting to a Minnie character Breakfast

We are "going home" for the 1st time mid Dec. and staying at our home resort WLV. I posted a question in June about a character breakfast for DD and was given good advice. Several posts told me to ask DD who she would like to have breakfast with for her Bday and the unbiased answer was a definite Minnie.

So my question is, where is agood place to have breakfast with Minnie and what is the best way to get there from WLV. Keep in mind, we like to get an early as possible time in the morning, so transportation will be a key issue. We wont have a car with us, so that option is out.

My suggestion would be the Character Breakfast Buffet (Chef Mickey's) at the Contemporary Resort. They have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip & Dale come right to the table for pictures and autographs. You can catch a boat from VWL and take it over to the Contempoary Resort...it's just right there! Make your reservations now so you can get the time you want!

While I don't know if the boat runs that early, there is bus service provided for guests who have early breakfast PS's, and it does go from resort to resort as well as to the parks.

I would also suggest Chef Mickey's. Minnie is no longer at the Polynesian breakfast, and the only other Minnie breakfasts are in the parks (I am thinking of Hollywood and VIne, for one.)

Last year when we stayed at VWL, we didn't have a breakfast to go to, but we did sign up to go to Backstage Safari. It begins before the park opens. We asked at what time the first bus would be there. We were there to catch it, and had plenty of time to meet our group for the tour. BTW, the tour was great. That may work for you if you have an early morning sitting with Minnie. What a great way to spend your birthday!!

We booked just a few minutes ago at Chef Mickeys for DDs Bday. We also checked on the breakfast bus and that runs about 30 mins. prior to the 1st breakfast times.

I talked to 2 very cordial CMs who were both very helpful as usual. It is always a pleasant experience to talk with Disney folks, makes the day a little better.
