WL vs. Swan/Dolphin???

We just returned from a wonderful trip staying at the WL. After all of my obsessive planning the family (DH, DMom and DDad) all said that we need to return in 2007 I have only wonderful things to say about the WL but Epcot seems to be the park of choice by our clan. We were on the bus almost every evening to get to Epcot after touring somewhere else during the day.

My question is after the WL will the Swan/Dolphin live up to the experience. I like the looks and location of the S/D. I think it would cut down on travel time a lot. Are there other things I should consider when comparing the resorts?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

We have stayed at both and I think you will love the S/D. Location is wonderful, rooms are larger (IMO) and the heavenly beds are fantastic. I really liked the WL but felt very cramped in our room. There were only 3 of us. I also like the light airy look at the S/D.

WL vs swan/dolphin, there is no comparison. Swan/Dolphin win hands down. Swan/Dolphin are true deluxe resorts, unlike the WL which is deluxe by disney standards.

Once you stay at Swan/Dolpin and get the great rates, you will be hard pressed to reserve a disney resort again. No joke!

Have you considered renting points from a DVC member? We're doing that for our upcoming January trip and staying at the Boardwalk Villas for less than half what a room there would normally cost. This will be our first time renting points, so I'll be able to tell you more when we return, but it's worked very well so far. Check out the DVC boards for more info.

I am going to have to look into the points as well. The Swan and Dolphin just look so nice. The very worst thing is that this will give us another reason to have to return to WDW, like I need one. DH is convinced that the world is the only place he wants to vacation for the rest of his life.

I would choose the SWAN or DOLPHIN over WL. I love the location and both resorts are incredible. The restaurants on the Boardwalk and Epcot are right next door. The heavenly beds and views from these two resorts are second to none. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

Thank you so much for the replies!!! I just got off the phone with my mom who is still gushing over the vacation. When I told her about my idea for next time she wanted to know if we could go next week. I have turned my family into Disney addicts right along with myself. Too bad we live so far away and can't go more often.
