WL VS POLY at christmas time?

Me and my Dbf have never been to disney before during the christmas time..
and im going to start booking soon..

wanted to know, which has more of that "christmasy feel", WL or POLY?

any pics or reviews i would apprieciate it..

In my opinion - the Wilderness Lodge is definately more like christmas. Even without any decorations the lodge feels a little like Christmss. When you add the decorations (and they are amazing at the Lodge) it feels even more like Christmas

We ate at Artist Point thisnpast Christmas and the resort was beautful!!! By all means WL!!!

We stayed at The Dolphin over this past Christmas/New Year's, but we went 'resort hopping' on Christmas eve, stopping by all three deluxe's on the monorail line and the WL.

The Poly really disappointed us in terms of Xmas decorations. (although, I did get a great buy on a sweatshirt at the gift shop ) There seemed to be little if any sign that it was Christmas eve...

The WL, on the other hand, was nothing short of amazing. The pictures don't begin to capture it. We thought it was easily the best, even better than the GF.

Which may explain why we'll be checking in to the WL on 12/23....

WL wins hands down. Are you planning on going this year or next? You might find that if you are going this year the WL may already be booked. It is one of the more favorite resorts during the holiday season.

You made a great choice going with the WL. I had this same problem after I booked my trip. At first I had booked a MK view at the Poly. After finding pics of the WL and loving it from our last trip, I called and changed the ressie. Now we have a coutyard view /w bunk beds and I am suprising our DS's with it. Here is the thread that helped me make that choice b/c it has some amazing pics.

awesome.. i want to stay at poly sometime.. guess to get in the mood for xmas WL is more appropriate.

I agree about the Poly. We also resort-hopped this past Christmas week and were very disappointed in the decorations at Poly. The gingerbread houses were very fun but I thought that Pop, where we were staying, was much more Christmasy. WL was very nice-but GF is my personal fave!

I always tell people if you want a resort that shows a traditional flair for Christmas, go with the WL. If you want more of a cultural interpretation of Christmas, go with the Poly.
