WL vs BC

Our entire happiness lies in your hands (but there is no pressure).
We cannot choose between hotels and this is why. We are annual pass holders, as pass holders we can get a discount at hotels. This is our dilemma...

We can stay at Wilderness Lodge, with a view, with the deluxe dining plan for same amount of money it would cost us to stay at Beach Club, without the dining plan. Where should we stay? There pros and cons to each.
You are our deciding vote.

PS...If we do stay at WL, we can afford to stay CL :rotfl:
Has anyone stayed CL @ WL, how is it?

Thanks!

I guess it depends on how much "free" dining is worth to you.

We don't care for the dining plans ourselves so we would do BC in this case. But, WL is a nice place to stay as well so if we could get a discounted rate at WL and it was significantly cheaper I'd go there.

The best things about the BC are the location near the International Gateway to Epcot and the pool, SAB. If you don't care about the pool and don't care about the location, the WL sounds like a better $$$$ value.

I love the BC and have gone there many times. We love being able to walk to so many places. But we are going to try WL this next vacation because we are going with grand kids who want to go to MK a lot. The resort looks awesome and I can't wait to try something new. It will be interesting to see if I miss being right next to Epcot.

Now that's a tough choice! We love both resorts. But if you are staying CL, personally I wouldn't do the DxDDP.
Ive heard good reports of WL CL, but haven't stayed there. I've only been CL at BC & AKL.

We love WL for winter stays. It's a beautiful resort. Love the boat ride to MK, they also have a resort boat that loops around WL, CR & FW. Handy for dining around MK resort area. We've used the boat to CR, then monorail to Poly or GF for dinners.
The pool is nice, and they have 2 hot tubs. the Lower one is a bit cooler for the kids or people who don't like it so hot.
Watching the Electric Water Parade from the beach or room balcony is fun. Pretty walking trail to FW. Esp nice in the cooler weather. We did the FW segway tour last January and loved it.

All rooms at WL have a balcony. Rooms are smaller at WL then BC, but it's not an issue for us, it's usually only my adult daughter & me. Same set up as BC with sink area outside bathroom. Rooms were just newly refurbished at WL. They started just after we left!

In winter SAB is less of a draw for us, we'd rather stay at BC in summer visits.

We've stayed at both resorts (as well as CL at the WL) and you really can't go wrong with either one as they are both great places to stay. With that said, I would probably choose WL if it included CL. We love the WL as it's a beautiful resort and CL was great as the offerings were very good, the lounge had plenty of seating with a view of the lobby down below, and the CMs were amazing. However, BC is also a beautiful resort and is in a great location as it's convenient being within walking distance to Epcot and DHS. Both resorts have their advantages and it is a tough choice, so I would look at the theme/decor of both resorts and choose the one that appeals to you the most. Good luck.

If it's a summer trip...BC hands down!! We loved the pool!!

However...our next trip will be in the winter...so I would not pay more if I wasn't able to use their pool.

We did like being close to Epcot and DHS...but this trip (we're staying at WL!!) we're looking forward to being close to MK!!

I have stayed at WL and BC's sister resort the YC; both in CL. With that said, I really like BC, but the theming at WL is just out of this world. Sure the beach club is walking distance to Epcot, but the WL is so easy to get to the MK as well as the mono rail resorts and their excellent restaurants. I can't speak for the cm's at BC's concierge but I can say that the cm's in concierge were so much better than those at the YC. If it were me (which I currently do) I would go with the WL over BC. Either way though, they are both excellent resorts and both in excellent locations. :thumbsup2

Sorry - can't help you - you've picked two of my favorite resorts.

On the other hand, I'd stay at WL, and just do dining out of pocket, especially if you can afford Club at WL.

Either way, have fun!
