I know this has probabally been asked before but what do you request if you have a courtyard view booked at WL. Is there a certain area to request?

Our favorite courtyard view rooms at the WL are in the "Bears Face". The view is awesome. The rooms face directly toward Bay Lake. There are only about a dozen rooms in the "Bears Face" and only on the 4th and 5th floors. The rooms are close to the main elevators. The room door opens to the lobby which I think is neat, but I have heard others say the noise from the lobby has bothered them. The noise hasn't bothered us. Our favorite room is 5077.

I believe room 5009 also faces Bay Lake and is in a less noisy area of the lodge. Great view also.

which rooms are the best rooms to request for seeing MK and wishes. We have a woods view room booked. Any tips on room numbers/areas to request? Thanks.

I am going in May and have a coutyard view booked. Can you describe a little more about the location of the rooms in the bears face? You said they face the lake - what about the pool? Can you see the pool clearly? Are they near the North or South side of the Lodge (i.e. near the boat launch or the bus stop)? Thanks for your help!

I was also going to suggest the "Bear's Face." But not all rooms that face both the lake and the pool open up to the lobby below. We had room 5041 and it faced straight out to the lake and pool. It is great for watching the Electric Water Parade at night! It was further down the hallway.

Make sure you specify "inner courtyard view." They consider a view of the quiet pool as courtyard, but to me, that should be at a different price level (cheaper.)

Also, and this is the most important thing for me....make sure you get on the 3rd 4th or 5th floor. The 6th floor has SOLID balconies. You have to be standing right at the balcony to see over it. iIwould prefer a "lesser view" with the regular, slatted balconies than a "superior view" with the solid balcony.

nick and alex-You would want a woods view. But there are different woods views. I can't help you, cuz I always try to get courtyard!

The woods view rooms that are best for seeing wishes and the MK are overlooking the otter pond. I would suggest rooms 5032, 5030, 5028, 4032, 4930 or 4028. I think this is called the north wing. We had a room in that area this past Dec. and it was great. We left our drapes open at night and could watch the castle change colors.

The "Bears Face" is between the north and south wings. It is over where the creek leaves the lobby and the view of the pool isn't that good because of the distance from it. It is fairly close to the bus stop. As wildernesslodgelover said there are other rooms that face the lake that aren't in the "Bears Face" and would have a good view of the pool. We were given a room once that faced Bay Lake. but it had a solid stone balcony and was on the 4th or 5th floor. We asked to be moved and got a rail balcony.

Goofytime, DW and I will be in New Orleans next week. Need some of those beignets from Cafe du Monde.
