WL Tour

Has anyone taken the tour of the Wilderness Lodge? I was wondering how long it was and what all does the tour cover? Thanks for any help!!

I took the WL tour back in February. Stan is great. The tour is roughly an hour and covers the archicture and history of the Lodge. If I am not incorrect, it starts at 9:00.

Does anyone know if the tour covers the grounds or just the inside? Is there alot of walking? I am trying to talk my DM into going with us in Jan and renting a scooter for her to use in the parks. I think the tour is something she would really enjoy.

No cost. You do walk from the lodge to the Villas to look at the lobby interior of the WLV. But no extensive walking outside. You'll visit Artist Pointe restaurant and the balcony outside. It is a very interesting tour, with a lot of history of the lodge and WDW in general. Stan was a wonderful guide.

I just took the 9am lodge tour last Thurs 10/7
It started right in front of the check-in desk - we took elevator to 4th fl - never went to the DVC bldg
No cost - we did have Stan

Just recently took a tour w/Ranger Stan. He said they used to go over to the Villas, outside and to the rooftop, but that has changed. He said that WL does not offer that anymore. Our tour was the main lobby and to the 4th floor. Needless to say, we had about an hour experience w/Stan learning about the breathtaking WL. We had been to WL many times before, but this was our first "official" tour.

If you have the time, do it. Stan is an amazing man.
And no, there is no cost for the tour.
