Which is more worth it-which would you do?-8 nights with a woods view or 9 nights with a standard view??
(I don't have the exact numbers for both yet, but will get them-but I'm betting they're close to the same) :flower:

Last time we stayed at the WL woods view, but standard was booked. :confused3

I'm getting ready to book!!!! :cool1:  :Pinkbounc :bounce:

I'll take 7 nights for Courtyard view!! Is this an option? :teeth: I guess I would rather have a guaranteed view of the woods rather than taking chances of getting a parking lot view. I do spend some time at the balcony and the view is important to me, so for me it's courtyard view.

i would stay for 9 nights in a standard. i think that resort is notorious for upgrades. we stayed there in june and us and the people in front of us got automatically upgraded without even mentioning it.

9 nights at a standard. There's nothing wrong with standard view, the whole WL is so woody anyways.

IMO, whats so great at looking out your window at some tree's? Take the extra day, even if it means looking at cars!

FANTASIA,
I have to agree with you, many people would rather stay extra days, I too am a junkie for a good view. Nothing like sipping coffee on the balcony!

I'm a view person too BUUUUTTTT - if it meant one more night at the World I'd take the STD view.... Last time we booked STD we were upgraded to woods view so you never know! ;)

I think I may go with the extra day-we've only been once so far, and are waiting 2 yrs. for the next trip (12/06)-so I think I'm going to book early and go for the 9 nights w/standard view!!!!! :cool1:
I love a good view too, and we did spend some time on the balcony, but we could spend time by the fireplace, or the pool, or going to the parks!! :flower:

Thanks!!! :sunny:

there are very few standard views at WL, and they are notorious for upgrades. We got a CM rate on a standard and they upgraded us to courtyard!!

For an extra day at WDW? Heck yeah, I'd do standard. There are few rooms that look at the parking lot, IMO, so the risk would be low - and even if you did, you can take that cup of coffee down to the pool area or the beach and see the water ;)

We have a courtyard view booked - any chance of an upgrade ? to a deluxe room ? better view of MK & bay lake ? magic of CL ?

9 nights standard. How long are you REALLY in your room??? I would take the extra day in a heartbeat. You could even get an upgrade :flower:

stacy6552-Good point :sunny: -the only thing is that the WL seems to book up for that time of year-way before good fares come out :guilty:

I miss WDW!!!!! 12/06 is a long wait-my poor husband is already zoning out as I'm starting to talk details! :rotfl2:

Take the extra night!!!! WL seems to always have some kind of pixie dust floating around :wizard: , and maybe you'll get an upgrade. But.. an extra at WDW is better than a day I wish I was there!!!! :cool1:

I vote for Woods. We just got back and had a woods view on the fifth floor. We were on the MK side and could see Wishes from our room.

Next week I'm gonna book it!!! :cool1:

9 nights-standard view with fingers crossed that we will be sprinkled with pixie dust and upgraded-and if we're not, we'll still be in Disney World!!!! :sunny:

Thanks!!! :flower:

I would definitely go for the extra night. We stayed in a deluxe room that had a woods view. Honestly there were so many trees we couldn't see much (of course the scalfolding outside the window due to renovations might have had something to do with it.) :sad2:

We have found that we do not really spend time on the balcony to make it worth it. If we are at a resort where we can see fireworks from the room it is nice but surely not a necessity. Besides you may be able to upgrade if codes come out and end up paying the same rate for a better view.

I would go standard and stay the extra night.

We had woods view that faced some trees, the WVL, and the bus area - It was not really any better than some of the standard room in my opinion. We were there in April 2004 the week before Easter. I confirmed with the desk and the manager that this room was woods view room - (we could see a few trees after all).

We loved the WL even though the room's view was not what I expected.
