WL question

can you walk from WL to the contemporary? I know Ive seen pictures from the back of WL that makes it seem like the contemporary is just a stones throw away

You might be able to swim...... but I would suggest taking the launch. It's just about a 10min ride.

Do the boats always go to the contemporary? Last years copy of The Unoffical Guide says they only go to MK.

There is a launch that goes from the WL to the MK, sometimes going to FW before going to the MK. Then there is the resort launch that goes from the WL to the CR. I know there are others but without a transportation map I'm not sure about them. I'm sure if I'm wrong someone will be along to correct me.

We took the boat to the MK via the Ft. Wilderness campgrounds first, and then hopped on the monorail to the CR. To be honest, we didn't look to see if there was another boat to just the CR. Maybe my DH did, and that is why we took the MK boat, not one to CR. I am really not sure on that. The distance is definately not a stones throw. It is a long way.

There are 2 boats. The large one goes WL/FW/MK (any order) and the small one goes WL/CR/FW (any order). There are generally 2 small launches runing at the same time, one clockwise, one counter clockwise. The ride from WL to CR is less than 5 minutes.

The large, MK, boat runs abt 1/2 hour before MK opens to 1 hour after it closes. The small launch runs 7 am - 10 pm. The time in the link is incorrect.
