WL or POR

We are planning on coming to WDW in September for 4 nights and can either get the WL for $140 per nite or POR for $104 per nite using the BUL code. We have stayed at POFQ and loved it, but do you think we should pay the extra $163 more for WL? We're just thrilled to be able to go to Disney!

I think you can't go wrong with either resort, but I would chose to go for the WL. For not that much of a difference in cost you'll get a gorgeous deluxe.

I think for that price difference, being closer to the MK, just a boat ride to there and CR to get on the monorail loop, I'ld go for the WL. Our last 4 stays have been at WL, just for being in a deluxe and location. We like going over to FW for the buffets and Crocketts Tavern has some good atmosphere, pizza and beer and very little people. the transportation from the Lodge is great, buses are not that bad to EPCOT, DTD, AKL or MGM, boat to MK, CR, FW. We also like the resort being under one roof, inside corridors and the themeing is to the nines, pool and hot tubs are second to none. I'm make the hop.

Thanks for the replies. I figure that we would probably never get to stay at a deluxe for that rate, so we probably will go with WL. I would definitely stay at POFQ or POR again though.

The BUL code is a special for August and September that WDW is running. Go to Disney.com and check out their special offer section and you can book it online or by calling WDW. You have to book it by 7/28 though. It is offering value resorts at $69, mods at $104, and others like Saratoga Springs at $169. It also offers WL at $140. But dates are limited.

Whenever I have a choice between a moderate and deluxe, I take the deluxe. Not to sound snobby, but you can notice the difference. Enjoy!
