WL or Poly

If you had to choose between these 2 resorts which one would you choose and why?

Poly is our favorite resort! We love the theming, especially the tiki torches lit at night! We have a ds(almost 8) that loves the Volcano pool! Kona is one of our favorite restaurants also! But, the WL is also a great resort. It also has a nice pool and slide. The WCC is also a great restaurant for kids! Lots of fun! I think you can't really go wrong with either reort! Pros Poly: Monorail. Pros WL: Hot tub. Happy planning!

If you look back a page or two you will find a poll I created asking pretty much the same question. Poly won by quite a bit.

As I have told you somewhere else... I don't think you can go wrong with these two. I am hoping you'll stay at the Poly so you can fill me in on the ins and outs before my trip there!

My vote is for the WL.

I just described the WL on another thread in virtually the same way I would here (WL vs CR). I prefer WLs theme to the Poly's, the jacuzzi out by the lake and geyser, the beautiful pool w/ waterfalls that looks like its in a huge rock with wildflowers poking through, the stream that goes through the lobby....the fireplaces. It's all in the theme for me. At the Poly, transportation is better (the best options on property since its next to TTC and on the monorail) but there is no hot tub and it is much more expensive than the WL (and I personally prefer the decor at WL--just me).

I think they are both awesome resorts. The monorail is a definite advantage of the Poly. I think it just depends on which theme you prefer the most. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

The atmosphere at the Polynesian is second to none in my opinion, the view of the castle, the convenience of the monorail, for me it's a slam dunk.

I like them both, but I pick the WL. Convience, less walking than the poly, and We love the theme at WL.
