WL or Poly or Por ??

All things considered with a family of 4 (kids ages 8) plus in-laws who have never been to Disney (hard to believe isn't it ?) what resort would you pick between the Poly, the WL or Por ?? Thanks for any help and a Happy 4th to all !!!!!!!!

When my DD & I took my mother the first time, we stayed at WL. The themeing is wonderful and the resort is relatively small compared to POR and the Poly. Also, you don't have to go outside to get from your room to the snack bar, lobby, arcade, nice restaurants, etc... , like you have to do at the other 2. Needless to say, my mother was NOT impressed with POFQ after staying at WL & BC. She prefers BC over WL and the location and pool can't be beat because she enjoys Epcot & MGM over MK (go figure? LOL). Hope this helps!

I would say it's a toss up between the Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian, but I would go with the Polynesian for a few reasons. 1. While we've never had a problem with the transportation from the Lodge, some have. We enjoy the boat ride to the Magic Kindgom, and the bus service is ok. At the Polynesian you have access to the MK monorail at the Great Ceremonial House, plus you can walk to the Ticket & Transportation Center to get the monorail to Epcot. There is also a boat that goes from the MK->Grand Floridian->Polynesian->MK. 2. The Wilderness Lodge is smaller, more intimate, and the lobby is stunning. The Polynesian's grounds are absolutely beautiful! From the tiki-torches to the tropical plants, to walking along the beach and seeing the Castle... it's wonderful. Plus, you have the option of hopping on the monorail to go to the Contemporary or Grand Floridian for a bite to eat. If it were just your family, I would say the Lodge, but with your in-laws, I would choose the Polynesian. But beware - they will be spoiled!
