I have 6 so the WL deluxe CL is now on the table. We have stayed CL at GF and at CR. I was really wanting GF or Poly but with a possibility of 6 (1 adult, two 15 YO, two 10 YO and 1 7 YO all girls) thats out unless I do a suite or 2 rooms (have 2 rooms booked now at Poly not CL and $$$$). Going first week of August and want to go to the parks at opening back to hotel for pool time and then parks at night.

We would be staying a deluxe CL at WL. Are these rooms in the main building? Any suggestions on the best area to try to request? and away from construction, if its still ongoing.

Will the construction be completed by early August? If not, what is suppose to still be under construction?

How long does it take by to Get to MK by boat? how long to CR? How long are you typically waiting for boats? I'm concerned about wasting a lot of time not being on the monorail.

Thanks so much! Have never stayed here only eaten there once.

Hi there! I stayed in a WL Deluxe Room back in November and posted extensively about it on the CL thread. Below are several links that will take you to the posts that cover the room, CL lounge, etc. Make sure to click each link, they are all different (don't know how to change the text below).

You'll see in my comments that I wasn't totally in love with the room itself and its location relative to the lounge, but don't let that cloud your thinking. This resort/room type could be a very good option for your situation. The new CL lounge is fantastic.

We love the WL, but are sadly out of one room there because my youngest is over three now. Yes, deluxe rooms would be in the main building. We used to stay CL before all the construction and the lounge was moved. The only time we were in a deluxe room, it was one the first floor and quite loud and inconvenient. The lounge is on the 7th floor, it was a pain to get up there even for a quick bite or drinks. Not sure where the other deluxe rooms are there though. We were not thrilled with the deluxe room, would have rather had two rooms. The sleeping arrangements were awkward.
Take the bus to the MK, it is quicker than the boat(usually). The boats are fun and usually quick. There is a loop between CR and WL if you need to get to CR. We usually bus to MK and boat back to WL.
I would look into renting DVC points for a villa, that could get your price down and give you more space. I would personally go with the two Poly CL rooms because at least you are guaranteed a Hawaii room, and oh that view from the lounge :) But, that is a big expense, I know.
Good luck with your decision, have a great trip!

Also one bit of additional info, all of the Deluxe Rooms are at the very end of the north wing. Two per floor, floors 1-6. There aren't any Deluxe Rooms on the 7th floor.

There used to be other Deluxe Rooms around but they are on the side with construction/new DVC side so aren't available.

This map should help. #1 & #2 are the location of the two Deluxe Rooms on each floor, #3 is the elevator, #4 is the CL lounge (but on the 7th floor obviously). Our room was on the 3rd floor. In our experience, it was about a 2:40 walk to the lounge, on average - which is pretty long from my perspective.

1. All they have is a main building. The other building is the Villa. If you book WL, you are in the main building. If you rent Villa, you are not.
2. No. Not sure exact completion dates
3. 15 min or so. Buses and boats both run on similar schedules. Considering the amount of time the monorail goes down you won't be wasting more time
