My DH and I are looking to spend 3 nights (Jan 10-13, 2008) at WDW for our 1st Anniversary. We were married at WDW last Jan and stayed 4 nights at WL Courtyard view last year and absolutely loved it. Now we are contemplating either staying WL courtyard again or possibly staying CR MK view. We are FL residents and have AP's, so we would be hoping for a discount along those lines (but are prepared not to back out if the discounts dont come.)

My question is, would the price difference for CR be justified vs. WL courtyard? Let me know what you think. The difference is about 455 total for 3 nights.

TIA!

I know I sound like a broken record but "worth" questions are really hard. CR with a MK view is special, no two ways about it. Looking outside and seeing the fireworks over MK is super romantic and to me the Contemporary is theresort that says DISNEY. I think it's the monorail going thru it.

We've stayed at both resorts, most recently CR in May. I would base my decision probably on what your plans are for the trip. If you're going to be spending more time at the resort, stay WL for the atmosphere. If you'll be getting to the parks, then CR for the extra convenience of the monorail. The new rooms at CR are wonderful - great linens/mattresses/pillows. The colors are very calming and staying in the tower was lots of fun (we got a free upgrade at check-in to Bay Lake Tower). It's a hard one. Why not try CR since you did WL last year? Alternatively, you could do CR Tower Bay Lake side which might bring the cost more in line with WL Courtyard. The view out over the lake is really lovely. You can always take the boat over to WL to revisit.

I would stay somewhere you haven't yet if I were you. While The Poly and PO are my favorite resorts, I like to stay at the other resorts for the experience. I'll be staying at the CR for the first time in 22 days and I am really looking forward to it!

Since you have already stayed at the Wilderness Lodge with a Courtyard View, I would say you should go for the Magic Kingdom View at the Contemporary. It's the best possible view you can get in all of WDW so why pass up the chance on being that close to the Magic Kingdom?
