Traveling with children 4 & 7 - second trip to Disney - first time at a Deluxe. Which would you pick? Thanks!

*I* would pick WL, because it is much closer to MK.

You should look at the park(s) where you'll be spending the most time & pick accordinely.

WL is great for small kids. I'm sure BC is terrific too. I'm just saving it till my dd (almost 5) is a bit older.

I just returned from both and would have to say Beach Club, but both are very nice and you can't go wrong with either. We tend to spend the evenings in Epcot WS and it's so nice to be able to take that quick walk home instead of dealing with the buses at the end of the night. But, like Kimberle said, if you think you'll be spending most of your time at MK, the WL would be better.

Oh, this is a hard one. I've stayed at both and would not hesitate to stay at either again. My personal favorite is WL, always has been always will be. I love the atmosphere, architecture, and overall feeling there. I will say that the pool is not very special. It does have a slide and 2 spas. They have a convenient fast food, Roaring Forks, area. It is close to MK and it is an easy ride to the Contemporary and Fort Wilderness.
I have also really enjoyed BC. If your kids want to spend a lot of time at a pool, Stormalong Bay would be fantastic. The decor at this resort is very clean looking-a lot of white with nice color combinations. Their fast food is Beaches and Cream, its a nice 'little' place, often busy and sometimes you have a wait. You have easy transportation to WDStudios and Epcot. If you like to get out in the evening and walk or look around, you have a large area to do this by walking over to Boardwalk. It is fun to rent the surrey bikes and ride around the area too. I think you'll enjoy either resort, whichever one you choose.

They are both great properties. I do agree that if you are spending the majority of your time at the Magic Kingdom you should go with Wilderness Lodge. Do remember, however, that their rooms are quite a bit smaller than the Beach Club's. But the atmosphere is wonderful and although the pool is not quite as great as Stormalong Bay, it is beautiful all the same. Be prepared to take bus transportation everywhere except to the Magic Kingdom where you'll take a boat.

Beach Club does have its strong points. Stormalong Bay is Disney's best pool, you can walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk where you'll find tons of restuarant choices, and it's only a boat ride away from Disney-MGM Studios. Rooms are larger and newly renovated in a fun beach scene motif.

I don't think you can go wrong with either property. Have fun at Disney!

We stayed @ BCV in Oct. my kids 3 & 6 LOVED Stormalong Bay and Beaches N'Cream, we even got it to go one night & ate in the room. DH loved ESPN club right across the water, we were able to watch Epcot's fireworks w/out getting caught up in the crowd. We rented Surry bikes and rode all around from Boardwalk aound thru BC & YC, Swan & Dolphin - kids loved that too. This is our favorite area in WDW.
