WL holiday carriage ride

For those not wanting to do the sleigh/carriage rides in the dark, I was told they start as early as 3pm...so you could go earlier.

Y'all will love the ride. We did it last year and took drinks. It wasn't dark that night though due to the moon and stars. The driver asked if we wanted to hear carols and then he played music for us. We loved it!!

I can answer half for you...sleigh ride lasts 30 minutes. When it starts? Not sure, but from the sounds of it at least as early as the beginning of December...my guess is they start at the same time the decorations go up...maybe the day after Thanksgiving. You can call 407-WDW-PLAY and ask them.

We just booked this (sat) for Dec. 22nd at 5pm. We have dinner ressies at WCC at 610pm!

We did this last year and it was my DD 9 favorite memory. I did it as a suprise after dinner. It was fun and relaxing. Our driver wasn't chatty though. And I wish they had enough battery power to keep the running lights that outline the sleigh on for the entire ride.

Ok, you guys convinced me! I made ressies for Dec 11 at 5pm with dinner at WCC for 6:10pm. But I have just a little concern with our party size. We have four adults and one child (3). The CM said she thought they'd let us do that.....but I'm worried we'll get there and they'll tell us no. Anyone else have this problem?

It's going to be a suprise for my parents and our daughter. I really hope they ok us all to ride!

I haven't had personal experience with this. But, they do say 4 adults can ride in the carriage. With your DD being 3 she's not beig enough to make a difference and she can sit in someones lap easily.

Again, I'm not taking from experience because this Dec will be our first time doing the carriage ride. But I think you would be okay.

Does this replace the cariage rides at Fort Wilderness during the holiday season, or is it in addition to? I booked a carriage ride for my parents on 12/14 and was under the impression it is at FW and I don't want to send the folks to the wrong place!

I had been wishy-washy on whether to do this during our stay at the WL but all the positive feedback got to me this afternoon and I decided to call on the off chance there were any early rides still available...we got 11/30 (the day we arrive!!!) at 5:00. I am SO excited--the girls and dh will love this!

patsal--The cast member made sure I wanted WL and not Ft. Wilderness so I guess that means both are still offered

And ditto to the request above about where we go to catch the ride...I was so excited to actually get this so close to our trip that I wasn't listening very well to the CM

Yikes, I was going to book, but it looks like our group may be too big. We have 3 adults, 1 middle schooler, 1 preschooler, and a lap toddler. I would be SO bummed if we have to split up!
