Hi ! Would someone who is there now be willing to take and post a picture of the first aid / store section in the Mercantile? I usually pack everything and anything we might need (and never use lol) so I’m taking a new approach and figure make packing easier by big paring down and if they sell it I’ll leave it behind!
thank you in advance😄

Go to the $ tree and get what you need. You should not depend on the store in park/resort . When you need something... You need it NOW. You will also pay double if not triple the cost.

Well, unlike the pp, I wouldn't go to Dollar Tree myself, but whatever suits...

Do buy at home what you think you may need and pack it. Bandages, ointments, etc. aren't that heavy, and if you don't want to take the boxes, pull out a few of each and find a makeup bag or plastic box to hold them.

I needed an antihistamine once at WDW and paid twice what it would have cost me at home.

I had a strange need at the parks a few weeks ago: deodorant. LOL.

My friend and I were chaperoning a school trip. Both of us normally shower in the morning, but we were so stinky / sweaty each night we showered at night. Because we were out of our routine, we both forgot to put deodorant on one morning.

When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, my friend said, "Oh, no! I forgot to put on deodorant this morning." I pulled a "Mary Katherine Gallagher" and checked on my own status. Yep, I forgot deodorant as well.

I was certain that Disney sold deodorant somewhere, so we ran into the Emporium. I asked a CM, who told me that it was available at the baby care center. Sure enough, the baby care had travel sized deodorant. They had two different brands. I think we paid $4.37 for it.

And, yes, we shared it to save money!

Thanks for the responses! Let me clarify. I know it would be more cost effec to pack it all however I am an over packer lol. I’ve had the luxury of going to Disney many times and I always pack it all ( immodim, all the cold meds , stomach remedies , eye drops lol and on and on) I can honestly say we never use any of it so I’m just wondering what they do have for sale in the store so 8 can maybe lighten my load a bit! Thank you all for your time😄

If you need something and can't find it in the hotel gift shop, Turner Drug has delivered to Disney hotels for years:

Nowadays, there probably are other ways to get drugstore-type items delivered to your hotel if you need something (although obviously not if it's a Right This Second need). For example, where I live, one of the food delivery services (Doordash or Grubhub, can't remember which) will deliver from Walgreens.

Some people who go to Disney at least once a year sign up for an Owner's Locker, where they can store items. Their storage bin gets delivered to the hotel, and when they leave it gets picked up to go back to storage. OTC medications are something people typically store in there.

I would bring with you small amounts of any of the items you typically need. Even our local grocery store has an aisle of small/travel size containers of the most commonly used items. The price at any resort would likely be way more expensive and no guarantee they have the exact items you might need. Typically you have a favorite brand or already know of the products that work best for your family.

We usually bring that stuff but not in quantities that inany way impacts the luggage. A few bandaids, OTC meds in small quantities and thats about it.

I can sympathize! I opted to buy sunscreen at WDW prior to my cruise a few weeks ago, because yes, it was more expensive than getting it at home, but it was cheaper than checking a bag.
