I read somewhere a while ago that WL is no longer accepting faxed room requests,is this still the case? If not, what is the fax number? Thanks.

Your best bet is to call CRO and have them note your requests on your reservation.

Why do they not accept requests? Every other resort does, and has always accomodated our requests.

Can you give me some inside info. Golden Oldie? Do you work there? Why have they stopped accepting faxes?

If I do fax one in will I wind up with a view of the garbage dumpsters? :sad2:

Too many people were faxing or upset because their requests wern't granted.

FWIW we have never faxed our requests, but do have them noted on our reservation. We have always gotten exactly what we asked for, though I do try to keep it simple so our requests are easier to grant.

As Safetymom stated, too many to deal with. Many were overlooked due to the volume of them coming in daily. Many were pages long, with photos of adorable kids, trying to impress the Room assignment people, hoping for the best room, etc. It just got way out of hand. Most were just ignored. Some guests thought because they sent a fax it was a sure thing they would get everything they asked for.

Also if you fax, then someone has to go to a computer, find your reservation in the system and match your requests to the reservation as it is downloaded into the system from CRO. That was just too much additional work, for an already overworked, understaffed, situation.

The best method is to add them to your orginial reservation. That way when your reservation is downloaded from CRO to the resort, everything is right there all together.

Wilderness Lodge took an official stance and made it public, many resorts do not read them anymore, just have not made an official announcement. If you fax them, they might not even get read. If you add them to your reservation you can be sure they will at least make it to the resort.

No request is a sure thing though. Keep it very simple and your chance for success is greater.
