WL Deluxe Rooms/Junior Suites -- Concierge Service, too?

I'd love to get a Deluxe Room at WL (formerly called "Junior Suite"), but my DH wants concierge sevice. According to the WDW site, you can only get concierge service with standard rooms or VP or Pres. Suites. Is this true? Can you get the Deluxe Room and pay extra for concierge service as well? Please help!

No unfortunately that is why they changed the name from "Junior Suite" to "Deluxe room" because it does not come with concierge service and they didn't want to confuse people as suites at all other hotels include the service. In past WL did not allow for you to pay an additional fee to have concierge. They limit their concierge to the rooms that are on that floor only. It doesn't hurt to ask, but don't be surprised if they say no.

We have a family of five and we looked into it for the future (since the youngest still fits comfortably between us at night right now). In fact, our Concierge CM gave us a tour of a Junior Suite so we could see what the difference in space would be.

It was Jan 2004. We didn't inquire on our most recent trip since we didn't yet have the need for more space.

That's a bummer if they've changed the policy. It seemed like a great thing for our family, since we love to stay Concierge.

We are in the same boat and currently have a Deluxe room reserved for Dec, but want to upgrade to Concierge.

Because CRO often gives conflicting info, I actually called the WL yesterday and jjohnson is absolutely right. The ONLY suites in Concierge are the VP and Pres suites - the rest are just regular rooms. You cannot stay in a Deluxe and have access to Concierge.

I know -- I feel the same way! It doesn't seem like a logical policy.

That's us, too. We would love the extra space AND concierage. As it is, we have decided to go with concierage. We would definitely miss the help with PS's and my DH needs his caffeine NOW when we get up. Better to not have to make it or go searching for it!

Does anyone know whether any of the junior suites at Wilderness Lodge have castle or firework views, and if so which ones? I want to be able to contact WL and specify a room number if that is poss!

We booked a WL jr suite and wanted concierge, too. Just last night, DH spoke to a WL concierge CM and was was told we could ask about adding concierge service when we arrive but it could not be guaranteed or offered in advance. So, ask when you check in- you might be surprised.
