WL: Deluxe Room v. Standard

This May, we (myself, sister, her 2 kids ages 9 and 10 and 2 girlfriends of mine) will be at the WDW celebrating my 40th birthday.

I am now considering a deluxe room instead of a standard. I understand we can all fit in a deluxe and it sounds like it would save some money too.

Has anyone ever stayed in a deluxe? I'd appreciate any info. By the way, I'm an AP holder.

I have stayed in the Deluxe Jr. Suites before, they are very nice. Even though it says that all Deluxe Jr. Suites feature woodland view, they are located at the end of the North and South Wings, if you request South Wing they overlook Bay Lake and have a wonderful view of the Lake and the EWP.
DELUXE-TWO QUEEN BEDS & ONE SOFA BED (sleeps 6) The Deluxe Guest Room has a sitting area separated from the bedroom by french doors, additional television, refrigerator with ice machine, coffeemaker, and wet bar. All Deluxe Guest Rooms feature woodland views

At Rack Rates
Standard Room Regular Season $239.00+tax
Deluxe Jr. Suite Regular Season $435.00+tax
The AP discounts usually aren't as much on the Jr. Suites as they will be for Standard Rooms...with four adult women and one bathroom.... I think you would be better off making reservations for two standard rooms and then changing them when or if AP rates come out (Two Standard Rooms may be less then one Deluxe Jr. )

Maybe you could make two reservations (room only) then when ( if) AP discounts come out you can see which is less expensive.

The deluxe sounds very nice! I know that it says that it sleeps six, but do you still have to pay the extra $25 per adult (over two adults)?
