WL Courtyard room request for fireworks?

Hi,

I don't post very often, but I lurk on these boards ALL the time. We are leaving 1 week from today for our first stay at the WL. I have 2 courtyard rooms booked and was wondering which room or area to request tpo get the bets chance at having a view of the fireworks. I know this has been asked before, but I did not jot it down and cannot find the thread Thanks in advance!

I don't think you'll be able to see fireworks from any courtyard view rooms. We had a woods view room in July (room 4001) and could see the fireworks through the trees. We were on the North side of the building overlooking the otter pond. In 2005 we had a courtyard view room that faced the pool area. We were in room 3111 and couldn't see above the roof line. I don't know how it'd be on floor 5 or 6, but I don't think it's very likely. Also, the 6th floor is concierge, so the highest you'd get would be 5 and I really don't think you'll be able to see fireworks. Sorry.

For a glimpse of the higher fireworks from the Magic Kingdom, you would need to request Inner Courtyard far end of the South Wing either 6th floor that has the inclosed balconies or the 5th floor with the rails in the balconies. Please note that you only may see a few of the high fireworks really not much at all.

No fireworks to see from the courtyard. If you're in the inner courtyard you will get a perfect view of the electric light parade on bay lake. The courtyard faces discovery island and the fireworks are to the left of the inner courtyard. I agree, folks on the woods view/north would have a better chance of getting a glimpse of the fireworks if they are high enough up. We were there 2 weeks ago for a 2 week trip and hopefully the scafolding is no longer up in the inner courtyard as it was the day we left (10/27).

Oh man - I'll have to see if I can find the paperwork from our Sept. trip for a room number because we definitely saw fireworks nightly from an inner courtyard room. Granted, it was obstructed, we only saw the very high up fireworks, but definitely saw them over the north wing of the lodge. We were inner courtyard, 5th floor, south wing. I'll see if I can find our specific room number.

Wow, you guys are GREAT! Thanks for all the info and the quick replies. At this point, I have requested inner courtyard rooms and a higher floor. Even if we can't see the fireworks from our room, it will be great to see the electrical parade. Ekball, if you can find your specific room # that would be great. At a minimum, I will add south wing to our request. Thanks again!
