Could someone enlighten me on the differences between the two? Besides the obvious that wood is looking at trees! Which one is more expensive? Which one is preferred more? Thanks, might be making a short spring trip next year so I'd like any info I can get!

The courtyard view is more expensive and faces the pool and Bay Lake area. We stayed courtyard view in 2001 and enjoyed it a bunch. We could see and hear the Electric Water Pageant nightly from our balcony. We could hear the resort music, which I love, whenever we were on our balcony. We could see the pool, geyser, the little stream that runs from the lobby, and beautiful landscaping from our room. It was fun after DD went to sleep to hang out on the balcony and watch people in the pool area, boats going by on Bay Lake, people coming and going from the resort etc.

kmermaid -

If you go to the New (and Improved) Wilderness Lodge FAQ thread (which we try to keep on page 1 of this forum :) you'll find lots of people who can give you these answers.

We're leaving in the AM for our first stay at WL, and have booked a standard room (maybe we'll get an upgrade!) - so I can't help you (yet!) but there are lots of posts re: views on that thread.

Good luck

Mary

Have a wonderful trip Mary! I hope to hear your thoughts about your trip when you return! :D

It depends on what you like. We have had both views
Woods was nice and quiet a bit of a walk from the lobby and elevators.
Courtyard had a nice balcony in the corner over looking the pool and the lake. We also where able to hear kids swimming at all hours of the night.
