I like using this nifty feature of touring plans, you short by room category you booked and it’ll show all applicable rooms you could end up with upon check in.
So you are guaranteed to have a room on floor 2 or higher. Also the view will be either of the main pool or face the quiet pool.
This link is a map of all the rooms. This will give a visualization of the room numbers. The problem with touring plans (unless they fixed it) was all the CCV rooms weren’t correct because of them being old hotel rooms. So these floor plans in conjunction with touring plans should be good.
Generally my request would be highest floor, far from elevator (puts you near the lake). This would give the nicest views of either side. If you get the main pool side you could maybe see the fireworks. The only downside is if you get the top floor (no room above) the balcony would be enclosed by walls instead of railings. So you might want to request floor 4 or 5 to guarantee an open balcony.
