WL--bunk beds and standard rooms

I'm new to this forum; just signed up. I was wondering if anyone who's stayed at WL can help me with a dilemma about bunk beds. I've read folks talking about staying in standard rooms with bunk beds. Yet I called a week ago to request bunk beds and the CM told me no bunk beds in standard rooms! Should I call back and try another CM?

I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on the topic!! thanks!!

From what I have read on the boards they no longer have bunk beds in the standard rooms. They only have them in the woods and courtyard view rooms.

Sadly, no matter what, bunk beds are only a request, and not guarenteed. Be prepared to make use of two queens, just in case. It seems many people here do get the bunk beds when requested, though. But when I traveled with my sister and her two DD's, we requested bunks but got two queens, not a bunk bed anywhere to be found. And that was at AKL, which is not as booked as WL. So be prepared!

Info I got from my TA is that in fact there are a *few* standard rooms with bunkbeds. CRO does not show availability on their system - which is why you are often told there are none. However, I asked it to be noted on my ressie anyway, and am hoping for the best. However, I also am NOT telling DS as there is a good chance we will see 2 Qs instead.

However, the optomist side of me is hoping they will upgrade me to woods or courtyard view based on my need for a bunk - LOL Fingers crossed waiting for Feb!

I've posted this elsewhere, but I had a similar situation in August. My kids were really hoping for bunks, but we were booked into a standard room. All I told them was that I'd ask nicely when we checked in if any bunk-bedded rooms were available; I did not make a request ahead of time.

As the CM was processing our reservation, I mentioned that "my children were really hoping to get the opportunity to sleep in the bunk beds here, and I promised them I'd ask you...by any chance, are there rooms available that have bunks for us?"

A few minutes of checking, and the CM informed us we could have our request. Turned out we were upgraded on the spot to a courtyard view.

Pixie dust happens, and asking nicely a check-in can help too!
