After trying to read the numerous WL threads, I thought I would just start a specific thread...

We are considering trying the WL for the first time. As past "Poly heads", we find theme important and think WL could be a good fit. Our DKs saw a picture of the rooms with the bunk beds and LOVED it! So, calling all WL vets:

1.) Which rooms have a queen (or king) bed and bunk beds?

2.) Do any of these rooms have even a parial view of the MK?

Any other insight is greatly appreciated! The bunk beds are more important than the MK view, as long as we're not looking at parking lot or loading docks.

TIA for all of your help.:thumbsup2

We were in 4025 I think which was on the MK side overlooking the otter pond. It was one queen bed with bunkbeds. We could sit on the balcony and thru a open spot in the trees see the castle and watch the fireworks each night.

You now have to book and pay for a bunkbed room so I would request to be on the MK side, high floor, overlooking the otter pond to get you best shot at a bunkbed room with MK view.

Being a pretty avid veteran of WL, I will also add the following.

As stated in the previous post, the MK view is really not a legitimate view as it states. You do have tree's blocking your view from ANY floor. It is true, although, that you can see some of the higher exploding fireworks from the balcony.
Please note that the view is not called the MK view, it is called the "Woods" View.

Honestly, my opinion, it isn't worth the price difference. You have a view of the woods in front of you and see some fireworks through the tree's at times....I normally book the Standard View, if available and then ask for a free upgrade when you check-in, if available, of course. It's just not worth the extra dollars for THAT view.
Now, with that being said, if money really isn't a concern, then the Courtyard View is best, overall. You have your balcony overlooking the courtyard, pool. etc. Also, can view the Geyser going off on the hour from near the lake shore as well plus you can see the Electrical Water Pageant at 9:25pm from your balcony, normally.
Much more options / advantages for a Courtyard View then a Woods View, in my opinion.

Otherwise, you have 2 queens in each room or 1 queen and 1 bunk bed which does cost more (not much) than the 2 queens.

Please don't forget to sign up for Flag Family at check-in in order to raise the flags on top of WL in the morning at 8am, I believe. Say hello to Ranger - Stan the Man..... for me.

I'm not too concerned with gettting an actual MK view, I just heard that most of the queen/bunk bed set ups had that view. The only thing I would NOT like is a parking lot view or a view of industrial buildings. What should I avoid in that case?

What exactly is the flag raising? That sounds way cool.

My DKs are pretty set on the bunk beds, so that's m real priority. Any other BB familys out there?

Thanks again for any responses.

We stayed there several years ago and got the bunk beds! they were awesome! At that time, we also had a pool view...so I am not sure about the MK view! That is a really fun resort! We plan on staying there again in the next year or two! We are staying at GF this time, next year- Poly and CR and then I think we are going back to WL! Very cool!
