So I know I can get a cake here... and have skimmed the cake post. But I would like to know if people have gotten special birthday cakes here lately and the cost. I have a 4 year old birthday to celebrate!

Hey! I have a 4 year old B-day boy coming when we go also. I talked to Disney today and all set down dinners have some sort of little cup cake, etc for B-day person. If you want a cake make you ADR and then ask for the phone number to that Rest. and if you let them know they will make a little cake for about $12.00, I think they said.

And it was FANTASTIC!!!

When I made the reservation for WL, I noted that we were celebrating a birthday. They had a magical moments certificate waiting for her at check-in. While I was checking in, I asked if I could arrange to have a cake delivered to the room on the afternoon of the big day (72 hours advance notice). The CM said she would take care of it. We returned from the parks that day to discover a yummy chocolate cake in the room, accompanied by several balloons and a card signed by Cinderella. What impressed DD most of all, however, was the WL card signed by the front desk staff. The CM who checked us in called to the room to check that everything was ok and to wish DD a Happy Birthday.

What a great birthday memory!

I ordered a special cake from Wilderness Lodge just recently.
10" choc. cake (feeds 7-16 people) with choc mousse filling and choc buttercream icing= $40 I opted for Mickey Mouse white chocolate on top and that was $25 extra. They will also place a personalized choc. disk on it for no charge.
They also have the options of vanilla and marble cake instead of choc. cake, a raspberry filling instead of dark chocolate mousse filling and a white buttercream icing instead of chocolate buttercream icing. Hope this helps!
