Is is possible to get a queen sized bed and a bunk bed in a courtyard view room? Do you all think that would work better for us? Its dh and me and two kids ages 3 and 9. If I could get a full sized crib for the 3 year old than ds could sleep on the the top bunk, I could sleep on the bottom bunk, and dh could sleep in the queen bed.
Ps...we have a kind sized bed at home and CANNOT sleep if we are touching each other AT ALL (don't laugh), so I am super worried about the queen bed for both of us. Not to mention our kids sleep like they are being tossed around in a washing machine, so neither one of us wants to sleep with them in one of the queen beds either!!!

We just got back from WL. We had a courtyard room w/bunks. We have 2 DS (7&9). The bunks worked great for them. I will say they are not huge so you may have trouble sleeping in one. I don't know about the availability of a full size crib though & I should mention the rooms are on the small size. If you put a crib in there it will be hard to get around. DH & I have a queen size bed at home & had no trouble sharing the one in the room. However, neither one of us is movers or shakers ;) . I tend to stay on my side of the bed no matter what ;). I guess you'll have to decide if you & your dh can squeeze into the queen for yourselves. Hope that helps. Have a great trip! You'll love the WL! :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Yes, you can have both the bunk beds and the courtyard view. Just be sure you request an inner-courtyard view if you are wanting to look at the actual courtyard with the pool/bay lake and not the "courtyard" overlooking the Villas.

My 5-year-old slept fine on the bottom bunk, as it isn't too high off the ground and she is used to sleeping in a twin bed. If you think falling off is an issue, request bed rails from housekeeping to keep your little one in place. My 7-year-old did great on the top, as there are sides to it.

As far as sleeping it the bunk yourself, you can do it but it is tight. I would at least give it a try with both of you in the queen bed. We too are used to our king bed at home, each having our own space but both slept well in the queen bed (was comfortable as well).

Now, the full-size beds at the moderates and values are another story. Those are not a good night sleep for either of us -- even when we each slept with one kid. Just too small for comfortable sleeping.

Enjoy your stay at the lodge!

DH and I upgraded to a king-size bed 3 yrs ago and we will never go back to a queen. We love the space. However, when staying a hotel we do just fine in a queen size bed and we don't like to touch either when sleeping. We literally sleep on opposite sides of the bed.

I'm 5 ft 9 inches and I know there's no way I could fit in a bunk at the WL. We are staying at WL in 3 weeks and got a room with 2 queen beds. One for us and one for DS because it was cheaper than a bunk bed room. He's 4 and has been sleeping in a queen size bed for over a year.

Have you considered getting a king with a rollaway for DS?
