We just got back from a 3 day trip to US/IOA. My family and I are huge Harry Potter fans, and we were very impressed with the WWOHP! There is such attention to detail everywhere you look. I would highly recommend a trip to Universal just to see WWOHP.

We lucked out and got in during the soft openings. With early entry and low crowds, we got to do everything so much that by the end of the week we were almost bored with it....but I could never get enough frozen butter beer. It is amazing that a world like that can be created.

It is impressive isn`t it......glad you enjoyed it.

We all read the HP books, and enjoyed them but we are not huge fans, but I don`t think you need to be to enjoy this area. It`s so well done.

We went in October and this wasn't one of the things I was eager to see. I was disappointed! The theming was excellent.

Loved the Butterbeer too! X

You were disappointed or you weren't? It sounds like you enjoyed yourself but you state you were disappointed. :confused3

We just went and knew absolutely nothing about HP. We knew we had to ride it though or we would regret later. The ride was an absolute blast! The technology alone made it worth waiting an hour in line. We will still probably never watch the movies but I would go on the ride every time. I'm sure we are in the minority.

Glad you love it! We were very impressed too.

Now I want a frozen butterbeer! Hmm must plan another trip.....

I think that just the Butterbeer is worth the visit. Great stuff.

I was just there Thursday for the first time ever. Im not a huge Harry Potter fan, but I really enjoyed it. The theming was great, the ambience was great and the people working the shops were fantasic. I loved the Three Broomsticks and the Hog's Head Tavern, too.

My only complaint was that it felt a little small, and with the crushing crowd's (even with early admission), it was a bit tough to get into the spirit of things.

Overall, thogh, very much worth a visit.

HP is so cool, going back today in the rain !
Our children even paid for their own butter beer, cuz they loved it so much !
Frozen, of course !:thumbsup2

yeah I heard Harry potter on islands was crazy fun. been in Orlando for 4 years and still haven't been out there.

I was there with you on Thursday morning - we rode FJ and had breakfast in 3 Broomsticks - but in my case, I'm nearing my 50th time in the WWoHP - I've been going since the Soft Opening.

Isn't it awesome? I'll be back in just over two weeks! :wizard:

For all the vet's out there, is it better to hit WWOHP first thing when the park opens, or later at night? I've heard mixed reveiws on the topic. I'll be there the first week of August and I'm trying to sort out the plan of action.

We were there for the first time last week. We went first thing in the morning and had a 30 minute wait. We went to our hotel for a nap in the afternoon and returned in the early evening (it was raining lightly) and we had a less than 10 minute wait and we were able to do Olivander's with a less than 20 minute wait. It was lovely! I was so impressed with how immersed you get in the experience. The pictures just don't show that.

Both, particularly when IOA is open a bit later.

I prefer to tour WWoHP early just in case it's really packed later on. I've seen it very busy and also not so busy at night. I would also go at night because the WWoHP is absolutely gorgeous when it gets dark.

We'll be there about a week after you! I'm already excited!

Go in the evening instead of first thing in the morning. HP is very mystical at night and the crowds have usually thinned out by then.
